I remember finding this video when it was brand new on UA-cam, and I'm happy to see it's still floating around more than 12 years later!! My knowledge of horror films was only just beginning at that point in time, and this video introduced me to many great classics I consider favorites today (Re-Animator, Night of the Creeps, Dead Heat, etc.). I'm happy to say I now own most of the films included here on DVD. Thank you to the original poster for creating and uploading this fun video all those years ago! -Jex
Man Netflix doesn't even have some of these movies. Blockbuster Online has the ones NF doesnt. Heck people should just get both services. You can do the cheap plan for both and still come out under 15 dollars a month. Stream Netflix movies, then rent Blockbuster DVDs and be able to trade them in the store for new movies, Video games included. That way you can get the best of both worlds and be covered if one service does not have a movie you want to see.

I loved A Nightmare On Elmstreet 2. That pool scene was awesome. I can't believe you chose that one clip, one of my favorites. When Freddy blasts out of the man hole. That looked too cool and was an intense OH CRAP moment for everybody watching it for the first time in the theaters or watching it on VHS rental for the first time. I'm gonna age myself if I keep talking so I'll stop here :)
@extremechaser91 That's because in the 80s Hollywood was not controlled by political correctness and movie makers were allowed to get creative in anyway they wanted. Plus story sense was better in the 80s, everything was new and fresh. When you described a movie it did not sound like all the rest of the movies like you get in the 2000s and late 90s. Oh and one other thing, movies weren't saturated with computer generated effects. Real make up, masks, puppetry, and plastic latex was used.
There's no disaster about the 60s, 70s, or 80s. What's disasterous is all the movies of the 90s and the current crap they're putting out or having to REMAKE because nobody has any original thoughts anymore. The early decades of the 80s and back is where all the true imagination was.
Song isnt stigmata Martyr by the Bauhaus... Its Mister Mental by "The Eighties Matchbox B-line Disaster" which is NOT an 80s group, they formed in 1999 and are still together as a band today.
I'm just watching Shaun of the Dead and wanted to hear this tune in full...Great video! It must have taken hours to edit all those amazing scenes together.

Cartoons, video games, television, toys, and movies, everybody was looking for "new" and "exciting" frontiers, so they basically called upon many different creative minds and let them go wild. The result was a decade with high variety and something for everybody. They didn't just dwell on one type of horror, but let the flood gates open. Slashers, aliens, zombies, ghosts, demons, mutants, robots, vampires, thrillers, camp, realistic, surreal ... all 80s!

There was 1 more part where it talks about the black cat devil that cant be killed and it later in a scene it kills the man by entering to its stomach through the mouth and comes out back from the mouth.
'Dead Heat', starring Treat Williams and Joe Piscopo. It's a buddy cop movie, where the cops face off against zombies... and one of the cops is also a zombie. It also has one of Vincent Price's final appearances. It's better than it sounds, actually.
Awesome video! However, The Fly really isn't a B movie. It was made on a good budget with up do date effects and made A LOT of money for it's time. It's one of the most successful horror movies ever. Not really a B movie. Still very awesome vid.
Oh yeah! Now that I remember, the guy who did the fx on Night of the Demons did some of Fright Night's creature make-up so that explains the resemblance between Dandrige and Angela. BTW, AWESOME vid! I'd be happy if you did more of these!

Personally I love these 80s gems. Much better than today. Was no cgi and more rubber. So much more better. Great video. My favorite is Fright NIght.
