Honestly I [Just an IF!] would've added a chain with a hook on a end 3 or 2 chains [Practically the screwlink coupler] and put it as the coupler and use the drawbar at the front for sort of the hook on a screwlink like it is in the MSR'
I know he's not confirmed as a MSR engine in-canon, but given the prevailing fandom opinion that he would've been, would you ever consider making Proteus?

I just so happened to be developing an expanded take on the Mid Sodor's roster, with some adjustments made to suit a broader narrative. Notably I ret-conned No. 5 as a female named Alyssa, in part-reference to having been built at the Atlas Works of the real-life Sharp Stewart & Co. locomotive firm. Jim and Tim remain the same principally, and were followed up by a sister locomotive appropriately named Kim as a backup. No. 2 is not Smudger at all, but a female side-tank engine (based on the William Finlay, now on display at the Talyllyn Railway's Museum at Twywn) named Jennie. I also ret-conned Falcon's original build date, so he is now nearly as old under technical terms as Duke, and he has a twin sister named Faline who stood as No. 4 before Stuart arrived. Thanks for the like. I should also cite that I ret-conned the Mine Engine, because I thought if the Rev. Awdry had his way, he would have used a British-outline kit for his layout, and he almost certainly would have gone for a classic - the Dinorwic Quarry Hunslet loco, which is precisely what I have based my take on.
Bachmann actually have released the 'Quarry Hunslet' in their 009-scale range, so it might be something to consider for yourself. Regards, Samuel.

If I may ask, where on EARTH did you get those MSR style bar couplers(?)
I bent some wires ibto a square to form the couplers
And plus you forgot to give the engines their faces numbers and nameplates

Since you made Jim you *need* to make gerry (said jerry) and I'm saying this just because I have a custom Jim, Albert, and Stanley also cuz of you I'm making a custom Tim and more (wooden railway custom)
I like the locomotives, but the video music is a little too loud and kinda drowns out the voice of the guy talking.
