I really like this version, and the new lyrics are awesome! I really wish Sega and Paramount had hired you to sing this song for their new movie. That would have been really, really cool!
After 20 years, we've found it. Shadow the Hedgehog: Semi-Dark Ending theme. What a curious approach Bentley took to the composition...I had a feeling he was going to perform his own vocals to mix in, but new lyrics that totally twist the original on its head was not on my bingo card. I mean, the original Darker Side of Me sure doesn't fit that above niche. Art is fun. With legends like these it becomes an experience. I gotta see musicians remix each other's compositions more often. As if the success of the original track wasn't enough, huge congrats for being able to collab and assemble this whole album! I've been listening to Darker Side of Me since day 1 of release and derived a hell of a lot of inspiration from it, so I can only imagine how you must feel as the composer and getting to work with all these folks and behold their interpretations.
