Thanks so much for another thought-provoking discussion. On my morning walk today I was reflecting on the magic of religion, whether Buddhism or Catholicism or etc. and how magic is an inherent (and fun) element of religion. And this week's episode pops up on my feed: magic! I'm a believer in magic, for sure, and this incredible world never ceases to amaze me. Humans are inspired dreamers, and I think we crave mysticism and magic and awe. Or at least I know I do. Perhaps that magic element is part of the reason why Buddhism, Catholicism, and etc. still exist and persist. And Reiki, too. Blessings to the magic!

I love how you both kept geeking out at the end.... and your bird synchronicity 😚☺ I think that science (the disciplined study of the universe) gets conflated with materialism, the assumption that everything is purely mechanical and meaningless at the base of everything. To me I feel this world view is full of as much bias as any of the `magical thinking' that it wants to call out... there is so much bias in the shaping of science. Magic is awe and wonder and an openness to explore the exquisite nature of creation and to dance with it. ❤🌈✨ that's what I think. Thanks women!!
Hey Sally, I agree about science. I don't think I was clear when I mentioned elephants, but it's like science couldn't have imagined that elephants call each other by name until they'd 'discovered' it. So, we're not allowed to see the magic of life or its beauty until science has labeled it? We need to see and experience magic ourselves and know we have that ability to do so.

I completely agree...I get mildly annoyed when people claim that science and medicine are objective because bias is inherent in them. So let's be filled with awe and wonder, explore this amazing creation, and dance with it for sure! Blessings to the dancing!
