    As the architecture evolves, should the old database be removed since we are using elasticsearch as the new database?

      No, never use ES as the single source of truth, it is not resilient.

      Yes, elastic can be used as the source of truth for data if properly clustered and a snapshot strategy. I’ve used it without a traditional database with no issues.

      @@theRealSancar it's 100% resilient if set up correctly (maintaining quorum, replica shards, snapshots implemented, etc).
