- I fancied a change of scenery today so I went to Porthcawl to see what the charity shops had in stock and found some interesting bits. On the way back I went round my usual shops as well.
I'll also show you my card returns from PSA and what has been selling on ebay

Love porthcawl!, charity shops down by me in Neath is very hit or miss. some of them have people researching items that come in on ebay etc and pricing them accordingly.

Hi Ian, absolutely love watching your videos. Definitely helped me start my own reselling business and learn so much from you so thank you for that. Im wondering if you can help me. I recently picked up an unusual jelly cat from a charity shop and it sold within 5 minutes of listing for 25 Plus postage. It's a brown and cream Spotty dog with an oversized head. Do you or the jellycat guy have any idea if this is rare? Have I underpriced it? Sorry to ask your advice but I know how much you love your jellycats 😊

I’ve become very aware of the time factor with some items. In my case, trying to package a crook lock to keep it a ‘small parcel’. Took me about half an hour. It would have been much easier to charge an extra £1.50 for ‘medium parcel’.
So my point is (finally 🤦🏼♂️), the £10 sales where you need to do some testing. The Scalextric or toys needing batteries.

I think you are right, I also factor in time listing, photographing, even any time taking it to the post office or parcel shop.
@@evernew23 yep, lots of factors, lots of drain (drainage?) on time. As re-selling is a hobby for me the ‘research’ is part of the enjoyment and luckily my local post office is on my dog walking route 😀🦮😀

on a different note are you being affected by the drop in impressions on promoted listings? They have again started to drop again by about 50% this week. This happened at the end of July and really affected my sales. Some kind of testing ebay were doing and once its stopped after a week things picked up again. Problem is all this testing without any noticing is really affecting business and we still have to pay shop fees regardless.
Not seeing any of the main you tubers covering it but it seems to be a big issue.

How can we find your eBay?
Football cards are so volatile. A card can be £300 one day and £20 the next. It's madness.
If you play football manager and buy the rookie cards of players who have high potential you will be fine.
@@Micfri300 I'm still waiting for my stack of Carlos Fierro cards to go up in price. 😂 In all seriousness though I'll give that a try. I'm used to Pokémon, MTG, Yu-Gi-Oh and Weiss cards where all the characters are made up. Sports cards are completely different to what I'm used to. I did used to collect the old Shoot out cards back in the day though. Those were the days.
