People think the mechanic is mistreating the bike....it's a pro's work machine ffs, it gets abused on the road and disassembled all the time, it's not your civilian precious jewellery bike.
Bought this model like a week ago just to realize how shitty I still am with one of the best bike on the market. It's a bloody good bike though. Looks stunning
Watching this makes you appreciate your bike even more seeing all the work that gets put into building the bike up I have a trek domane and it’s an amazing bike
Interesting to see double-wrapped tape. As usual in these movies, a big fight with all the DI2 and brake cables going on around the head tube. And a final weight of 7.5kg...
Si seulement je pouvais avoir un vélo d'une équipe pro. Mon but est de devenir mécanicien cycle dans une équipe cycliste. Voir ce genre de vidéo me motive encore plus
I still ride and totally love my 2014 MERIDA REACTO 5000 aka RAGING BULL,I eat your 795,SWORKS,FOIL,SIECENTO,OLTRE,SCALPEL,DOGMA,PROTOS,MADONNE all for breakfast, lunch n supper😄😉 it’s so good to see how pro’s bikes are set up, the hard work and precision that goes in assembling these babies...big ups to the fitting mechanic(s)🙌🏿one day when I’m rich enough I’m going to these guys to fit me for my next level MERIDA...great video,I just hope CAV doesn’t crash this time around...awesome job to the mechanic(s) who worked on this machine.👍🏿🇿🇦✌🏿
Only thing that surprised me during this build was the heat gun to do the heatshrink tubing. I know from experience that the carbon fiber resin doesn't like that much heat applied to it. I warped a wheel trying to remove sticker residue once.
Question, if someone is kind to answer, at 5:50 the mechanic is wraping some sort of material around the fork, what is that one for? I have something on my mind but I'm not very sure. Is to prevent the cable damaging the fork ?! Thanks
Is it just me or at 06:52 is the gap between the top of the expander plug and the top of the stem a bit too big? Not having a go, just curious as it will help me with my bike.
i think what you see at 6:52 is not the final gap, when he tightens the top screw the gap gets smaller. The gap normally should be between 2 and maximum 5mm
Hi, what tension did you use on the seat clamp bolts? I’ve got the 9000E and the seat keeps tilting. Two different bike shops weren’t able to get it right! I weigh 79 kgs…so heavy but don’t think you can blame my weight. Thanks
The seatpost clamp is a reallllly bad design, I actually had to majorly overtighten the rail bolts. To do that I had to install steel threads onto the female side of the clamp mount
People think the mechanic is mistreating the bike....it's a pro's work machine ffs, it gets abused on the road and disassembled all the time, it's not your civilian precious jewellery bike.
Exactly. And after this he has to build at least three more bikes for Cav alone.
Exactly. Also, the bikes are built to take a beating. If it breaks easily then UCI should not let it be used by the pros.
Jamás lo q si veo es q es un gran descuidado ,son bicicletas de muchisimos dolares para q no lo haga con cuidado
Como lo monte todo igual.....
@@simongoossens818 ㅋㅋㅉㅋㅉ-ㅂ
the best paint scheme of 2020, and integrated cables finally!
integrated cables = PITA!! to work on and build mate. NONE of these mechanics like these bikes like they used to with rim brakes.
@@durianriders so what? That's their job...
The itemization of each part’s weight is a nice touch. Most reviewers don’t do that. Great job!
Probably one of the best bike build videos I’ve seen, the detail was incredible

Nice to watch focused pro mechanic at work!
Great you like it! :)
@@roadbikechannel He is the worst mechanic I have ever seen assembling a bicycle, he is not a technician, he is very ordinary
and yeah for showing the fitting jig; it's not something we see on regular bike build videos.
Just amazing how rough the mechanics are with Pro Bikes , there just the Worlds Best 😁😁😁🇬🇧🇬🇧
One of the best videos associated with cycling on UA-cam. For the purist, compelling.
I’ve watched plenty of bike build videos but that was a different level. The attention to detail...
If you want to see attention to detail, check Gee Milner's page.
Watching this makes you appreciate your bike even more seeing all the work that gets put into building the bike up I have a trek domane and it’s an amazing bike
Well. I might be able to mount the bottle cages. Everything else looks pretty technical.
Hahaha
è meraviglioso vedere meccanici ad alti livelli all'opera 👍
That custom made vision intergrated handlebar looks awsome
very very good job Alan 👏👏👍👍👍
Sencillamente espectacular, sin palabras, arte y maestria.... simply spectacular, art and master, very very very beautiful bike
He is so pro that he don't need that bike stand. I guess this guy is on sagan side hahaha. Kidding
Brilliant 👏👏👏and an awesome looking bike🍸🇦🇺
I am from Indonesian,i have workshop bicycle too and i like this video..
The tools and precise equipment used are the best in the business.
Black yellow color for bike is a great scheme 😊
Mechanic be like: why handle with care when Mark Cavendish is gonna crash it anyway.
Crashing loves him😂
Well done, amazing bike, very pro mechanic ✌👍
Wonderfull amazing bike from maxn missile. I love you bro take care always to your race ❤
Sickest bike out 💯
stunning colour and finish. beautiful piece of kit
Nice build, nice work! Should have gone for the ACR Metron handlebar instead; that would have allowed total cable integration.
Well that fork tot cut fast 😅😂😱😨😧
Damn, Cav's bike would fit me perfectly
Svaka cast Duma! 👌👌👌👌👍👍👍
WoW...they really need to be exact with the riders preference...
Interesting to see double-wrapped tape. As usual in these movies, a big fight with all the DI2 and brake cables going on around the head tube. And a final weight of 7.5kg...
merida bike super bicikleta namber 1
Professionals don't have time to screw around. They get the job done with a minimum ammount of effort.
Exactly, cause this isn't a boutique item like it is to most of us. It's just a tool.
Mesmerizing. Sweet looking bike too.
Looks like i mount a shopping basket and carry my groceries on it when i go shopping....lol.

best build video ever and this is a superb looking road bike❤🚲
Sprinters bike with no Di2 sprint shifters. Interesting
Cav's probably handling the leadouts
Simply put Art at itz finêst..🤗👌👌👌👌👌Love them Handle Bars.

Compelling viewing!
Excellent,un super moment,merci
Interesting that bars were double taped.
Very nice bike
Un buen Ensamblaje.
Unlike a stock 2021 REACTO TEAM-E, this build utilizes non-ACR version of Vision Metron 5D handlebar. Nice to know!
470g.....
I love watching things i can't afford 🌬️
Great you like it! :)
Like the way he worked on the bike & really feel it without rubber gloves.
Great you like it! :)

If you ever need to do it again, use soapy water and a hairdryer, it doesn't get really hot but hot enough to soften glue
That Di2 wiring is a jungle.
Great video 👏👏👏👏
Excelente video.
Felicitaciones
Glueing some mesh fabric to the steerer tube. Just to protect it from all the wires? Interesting...
That’s what I was wondering too!
I like how he assemble this awesome bike, respect for you.
No crank spin test on this? Come on, I want to see if it's as dismal as on the new Tarmac.
beautiful.....
beautiful bike

It's to keep the hose stuck to the steerer tube so it doesn't slack around, electric tape will do. I do this whenever I build an Émonda and Madone.
Can someone bring this mechanic a beer.
Imagine being the chap responsible for putting Cav’s bike together…. 😳
A beautiful monster
Thumbs up
thanks 🤗
Legal freaky wheels weight 😮😮😮
Interesting to see that Mark uses his right hand for his front wheel brake
All British do all our bikes set up left for back right for front I bet like me he has rode that way since he was 2 years old
Masterpiece. Awesome!
Im not too knowledgable to di2 but what was the scrape on the frame for
why the double tape? Is that a preference from Mark?
nice assemble for road bike ,its good to see ,you have a complete tools you have,my dream bike merida ..got it..🚲🚲🚲
What type and brand of Bottom bracket did you use? It will be a big help xoz im planning to change my crankset from FSA to shimano. Thanks 😊
It's a regular Shimano Dura Ace bottom bracket ;).
Is it just me or at 06:52 is the gap between the top of the expander plug and the top of the stem a bit too big? Not having a go, just curious as it will help me with my bike.

Welcome to fully integrated-di2-hydraulic hell
Amo esa bici me tendré que esforzar mucho para obtenerla!
as a mechanic it feels to be good if ur work paid off at the podium.
13:20 is it necessary to scratch the frame? Is it for the power meter magnet?
This is for a pro rider he'll do worse to it than just scratch it.
totally needed to because this is a carbon frame.
*Oh, That looks hot* 🔥👌
Good evening. It's great my greetings. Thanks
Alguien sabe cómo se llama la herramienta y dónde se compra del minuto 7:18 para posicionar o nivelar la manija del freno
Esta muy bonita la bicicleta pero el unico cambio que le haria serian los frenos de disco por unos tradicionales
love it. from Japan.
Soon 🙏🙏🙏
Đẹp quá 👍👍
Amezing bike
Wich tool they used for fitting?
Dream job! 😀

Simply beautiful!!!!!!!! now, with all the respect you deserve, put it on the floor, legs to the top to put the garmin support ?????
Poetry in motion!!
Heavy one
Hard to find the handlebars online.
Mark Cavendish is not in the Merida team in 2021. Why does Merida Reacto, 2021 appear in the title?
This's real build bike video, powerful install, not pretend for video shooting
I never thought of double wrapping the handlebar.
I need those name/flag stickers for my bike, in the same colour. Where can you get them?
most teams print them themselves but there are a few shops out there where you can order them online like www.bicistickers.com
Appreciate your effort, but why is the brake cable hanging over there?
do you mean beneath the handlebars?
what is that bar tape looks nice
Magnifique !
What's the frame size? Nice bike by the way.
What kind of app people use for get know or Bike is set good? :)
