Every surfer and skater of our generation watched as they went from playing in the “dungeon “ to the main stage upstairs to the Sports Arena and up and away they went! I visited San Diego from Newcastle, England a couple summers ago and dropped by Soma so I could see where it all started! I even missed Tom by 15mins in Seaport Village too!
A lot of his positions from playing come from his issues with his back. If you look earlier in his career, blink-182 shows, he often played hunched over or on his knees, which I don’t think he can do again do to his extensive spine damage.
Tom has changed altogether since leaving blink the first time... his voice, his guitar stance and himself Watch the adventure live in 2006... and you will see exactly what im talking about He even stated himself that he wanted to change after blink and it shows
