It truly is a shame that Hasbro didn't go full 100% with these remasters. I was tempted to finally get Lightning collections figures, but between the bad distribution, how expensive these are as deluxe releases and bad quality control across the full line, didn't pull the trigger. I really wished that this MMPR green had the correct black holster and the sword of darkness as an extra accessory and not gonna lie, I didn't like that you have to get the remastered red in order to get the shield (and remastered red not having a Jason head is another issue for me).
Hasblow at it again. A green ranger without a shield isnt a green ranger. I would buy it if it came with a shield but really dont want to buy the red ranger, so frustrating.
Yea I got the remastered figures and I didn’t like the dragon shield. not only cause it came with red ranger but their a a universal defect..if you look at the right side corner it has a bad computer cut from the factory as well as in the neck V of the dragon shield not as noticeable but up close. You can tell and as well as the color not being the right color for the shield ..
The reason the green ranger did not come with the shield was cause the wanted people to buy the Red and Green Rangers. Once you have 5hem your gonna need the rest of the team. Pretty smart. I had to pre order 2 of each.need the shield on both the Green and red ranger. Might need another just to have the shield on the Red ranger too. Man Hasbro just taking my money.
The holster on the "MMPR" Green Ranger figure is the accurate one based on the original sentai suit. The holster on the Remastered one is kinda accurate to the "American" suit. Sometimes it was also white like the other rangers and had the blade blaster.(coulda been a consistency error with the shows production)? But he has been seen with a white holster and blade blaster on some of the American footage. The new helmet is the most accurate Green Ranger helmet I've seen from ANY Green Ranger figure ever made(from Bandai to Hasbro)as far as sculpt goes. Hasbro nailed it!! It Just needs a few more missing paint apps like the white on the visor for example.
I'm actually glad the dragon shield was with red cause after JDF died getting any form of his rangers seemed impossible and that way there was a way to get a better dragon shield without having to hunt down a tommy
It's a easy concept, they remade red with a more accurate helmet and gave him the shield as in the episode and the fact that they didn't give Tommy the shield is that really gonna stop yall from buying him no everyone gonna get green anyway so at the end of the day yall have both
I'm sure they will do a remastered white ranger down the line. I know people are saying that Hasbro is done making power rangers lightning collection. But unless Hasbro make an announcement that they are completely done is not ture. They say they are taking a break in 2024.
I think what ismore disappointing is the lack of Jason head for red. You need to buy two reds to get it while the shield and green, no duplicates 🤷. Can see what is more disappointing imo
Odd thing, even on mine... it seems the remasterd shield has a dent or weird colour mix on the left shoulder. every single one has it. at a premium price... not cool. seen them at Toys R Us now half off... wonder why.
It was really greedy of Hasbro to sell the shield with the Red Ranger instead - I understand Austin St. John had his legal troubles so they didn’t/couldn’t do his likeness - so they used the excuse to give him the shield as the extra piece. Just pure greed on their part, under the guise of “politically correct move” - 🙄🙄 but a great review! Looks great with the shield
I don't have an issue with Jason coming the shield. Give me a different green ranger to go for and gives me a shot at the dragon shield red ranger I missed and don't want to pay stupid amounts for, with a better shield and removable bands.

I wish Hasbro would do a line of Tommy Oliver figurines in honor of his memory with proceeds going to suicide prevention/drug use awareness in his name. It’s a shame he never saw the 30th Anniversary special episode come to fruition
I cannot wait to get mine and had to get the Red Ranger, when I didn't want him, so I could get the shield. It doesn't make sense in terms of the character and what he should come with, but in terms of business, it makes sense to Hasbro. The Red Ranger, doesn't come with that Jason's head; due to social issues and possibly licensing issues. Therefore, there is a deficit in the amount of plastic being offered for the price point. The Green Ranger, had he come with the shield would cost more because he would come with more plastic. Since there is a story arch where the Green Ranger gives the shield to the Red Ranger, they killed numerous issues with one stone. First, it fixes the plastic deficit. Second, it gets you to buy another figure. Lastly, the story arch gives them the perfect excuse. In terms of the holster on the Green Ranger, I have NO clue where they are coming from. Every SINGLE MMPR production photo has him with a black holster. So....in my opinion it is MORE accurate. The only valid complaint is that they didn't paint the teeth white and silver.
I absolutely agree with your rant Alex. Hasbro judt doesn't feel like a company that values toys and collectors these days. It's unfortunate they pull crap like that to make us pay more and honestly i feel it disrespects one of the greatest legends of all time Tommy Oliver aka Jason David Frank. I know he would never agree with a green ranger release WITHOUT a shield!?? Insane but i am glad you scored two and they look great with that new dragon shield. I don't mind paying a little extra for these figures. At least they give you more bang for your buck. Not like the Marvel legends.

The correct suit color is more of a teal/ blue-green. The only figures I'm aware of to replicate it are the Figuarts and the Threezero 1/6 ver.
*The candle is a nice touch, however I would prefer a shied for the figure as well* 🕯️🛡️

The new one is the most accurate version of Green Ranger. The shield looks better painted gold metallic too! The helmet is most accurate as well!
