@KN-jw7ts I'm talking about the GR Corolla and how I believe it would be better with a 2.0 4cylinder... its boring that the same engine exists in a much lighter and smaller car where I admit it excels... I've not driven the GR Corolla as its not sold here but without at least a 2.0 4pot I'm not bothered or interested... I've driven the GR Yaris many times and anyone that has will be disappointed with this Corolla
Matic vs manual - boils down to personal preference i guess. Here in manila traffic + planning to use it as a daily, i'm kinda leaning towards the matic option. Kinda. Just a little.
60k CAD plus for an 8 speed auto where as I paid 49k CAD for my 24 GRC core... the only updates I like are the cooling add-ons... otherwise this car is much more fun with a manual in my opinion.
Go drive a golf R then. There is no comparison in terms of the driving experience, and it's not 2008 anymore. VW/Audi DSGs have been very reliable for well over a decade and the best in the business besides PDK. And the EA888 is probably the best 4 cylinder turbo out there right now besides the B48. People are putting 200-250K+ miles on tunes golf Rs reliably. I say that as someone who dose not own a VW but has worked in the auto industry.

Isn't better help a bad company?
Yes, people forget quickly and money talks.
The GR Corolla should of been a 2.0litre 4cylinder... this 1.6 3cylinder was designed for the Yaris
What the hell are u talking about? You havnt driven one have you? Bc u know It’s one of the highlights of this car.

What 8speed box is this if it's not a ZF?
Built by Toyota, Aisin, and Gazoo Racing. It was used in GR's Yaris for the Japanese Rally Championship.
@RoadsUntraveled Interesting. Thanks Marcus

Also they messed up the naming for the GR4 system, what a fail
Huh

This is also why, if i we're to buy one of these, i would just get the standard manual transmission version.
I stay with my Kona N 🙂
I would too. The Kona N is peak FWD due to the price. The GRC just seems like less car for more money than a golf R.
This is way better than in terms of the golf r dsg…. People forget how easily prone vw dsg fail….
