I do it because it helps me focus and memorise better
Why would anyone, least of all God, care how you move while reading the holiest book?
He is talking about not doing something that is copying other religions. I have a tendency to start slightly rocking back in forth because I have slight ADHD, but check myself when I notice it. I had talked to my imam about it, and he said what i do is not what he is talking about in this, because I barely do it, but I still stop myself if I catch myself because it's not music, and we don't want to cause others to think we should do this and it becomes a thing people start doing which would be an innovation at that point. If it's not found in the Sunnah we should avoid doing something that others might think is part of the religion.
