I always mistrust people who talk about intellectual stuff in such a comfortable way - like nothing really matters. They are almost always wrong and i can understand why he couldn't resolve his intellectual problems. No wonder he was skeptical about intuition - his stance is simply "intuition is only good, when the outcome is desirable". I'm pretty sure in his end vision for humankind, there is no place for risks, spontaneous actions, irrational behaviors, etc. because they are undesirable for him - but not for me! "Everything has to be under control". He once said in a discussion with Yuval Noah Harari that he hopes one day we will live in a society where Humans are hacked (by AI, Governments, etc.) and all their "negative" emotions are suppressed or extinguished. Like the movie "Equilibrium" but everyone is somehow happy, interested and wealthy. I think that's the kind of scientist Nietzsche warned us about - a nihilist who strives for everything to be desirable, comfortable, un-provoking, etc.
"conditioning, addiction, War and money." Terrifying this World of Now and perhaps that which has been made to be true with visage therein even. *Stop the Madness* as my old US Postal Service use to say to all of The Wilding Employees.
Mr. Kahneman I love your modesty and down-to-earth attitude. ❤
