Love the Tee shirt you are a legend in our minds 😂.We love Ireland and Farmer Phil and family we love Liv you work so hard So Godbless we will watch now brothers even seems to help now . All for now.☮️☮️☮️💚💚💚💚🇮🇪💯💯💯💯💯💯
That's a lot of hay when I used to work for a hay farmer we used to do about three times that but it was all little squares and it alfalfa I think we bailed right around 200 acres if I remember correct love your bailand videos
Phil, why don't you put a knob on the steering wheel. It will make it easier for you to steer when you have the camera with you. Amazed at how quickly you move down the rows.
Savage work by all concerned Phil. ....long days.....nights too but worth it all in the end....once yolks can be fixed sure whats the bother on ye and at least ye have the Crystal to back up drawing if need be !!!! Fair play folks !!
Farmer Phil have a seen the new Massey 8s it looks a good 👍 tractor 🚜 great video farmer Phil good drone footage great 👍 looking hay 👩🌾👩🌾👍👍🏴🏴🇬🇧🇬🇧👌👌🚜🚜🚜
I have watched several other videos since we are rained out of the fields. Phil you need to make a shirt that says that's neither here nor there you say at least 5x per video 🤣 I have several sayings but they don't meet youtube guidelines other than send it
What kind of speed does that baler handle ? We do lots fescue ,rye, wheat and clover so we use a ground driven 10 wheel rake and make windrows 4 ft wide and they hit the weight bar on the tractor in first cutting. We usually run 6 mph on the rough ground and 8 in the better places but most of the ground has gopher holes, hills ,rocks and all around rough ground. I sure would like to get thin blade grass like that it makes a great bale. Those are some great windrows your getting into in the 2nd field
By the sounds of what you say about uncle Ian your heart would be in your mouth wondering what he’s going to break next 🤣 a bit of a tough operator by the sounds of it
@@paulbarrett6127 you mean a plastic cover, it's not a bearing. I'm well aware of PTOs, I work with them daily. And Ive dealt with broken ones too. Had a very similar thing happen me where I put the wrong shaft on a topper (too short) and it was wobbling all over the shop like it seems in this video. There shouldn't be any give in the PTOs internal shaft (I don't mean the plastic now 🙄) which is what it seems like in Phil's baler. Better to be safe than sorry and not to just presume that it's just the plastic cover
Cleaning out the kit better would be a big help, a bit of debris can work its way into the bearings or seals. Also having dry matter in and around things that get hot is a fire hazard.
Fabulous video!!! 😍😍 I’m surprised when baling hay that you don’t leave off two bales together OR would that be a bad idea carrying it around till next bale done?? Also when new tyres going on loader?? Also is that a uncovered/unsafe PTO shaft on Mchale?? Seen a lot spinning there?
When you are using a round baler when you are finished the field if there is still a bit of grass or straw or whatever your baling left in the bale chamber and you go to bale another crop then what do you do how do get rid of the stuff left in the baler or do you just make a bale that's half and half and get rid of the bale?
Hello Farmer Phil, I am a new subscriber and I really enjoy watching your videos. I'm from the USA and come from a lifetime of agriculture as well. But I am curious though what part of Ireland are you from? My family line on my father's side is originally from Ireland in County Cork. The surname is Gunn but have no contact with anyone over there as I am unfortunately the only surviving member of my father's side.
been awile but didnt mean offensive on your corn. or your way of farming. being a Yank i can be a smart-ass. none the less keep up the good shows and your family is damn good farmers.
Love father Phil giving a wave to the drone camera about 30/31mins in while waiting for bale to wrap.
That hay is that nice you would nearly eat it yourself.

30:40 that wave from father Phil 👍🏻😂😂
Outstanding Phil, serious crop of hay. Out of the 100 acres, how many bales did you end up with?
Tough choice with the big square baler, but you're 100% right to take your time and get it right. Best of luck with it.
Hi 👋Phil nice to see you making hay friend great drone footage 😀keep the great videos coming friend
Top job their Phil
Newest tractor you have & aircon already broke wow… #green house no thanks 🤣 get that fixed ASAP aircon is a must in this day & age 👍🤣
Well done on getting it all baled and sold!!!.
There is a conversion kit. Bin the viscus. But a straight drive fan on
Great video again guy's. That's lovely hay.🌟👍
The rakes the only job at hay, been baling behind customers haybobs and the swerving all day would leave ya sea sick🤣 goodluck with the squares
Mammoth one 👍👌 Nice work. Stay safe 🏴

Great stuff Phil, and Father Phil, and all the other Phils, good feeling to have that all wrapped up, well done all!
Great looooong vid thanks..........
Great to get the hay saved. I hope u got a bit of rest after that.
Phil, why don't you put a knob on the steering wheel. It will make it easier for you to steer when you have the camera with you. Amazed at how quickly you move down the rows.
Downside is they cut the steering wheel, be a shame to cut the original wheel
@@VelEire_ you can get knobs that just clamp around the wheel
Great video Phil I love the sound of the 3690 what a machine
Ull not bate the smell of hay🤠
I can almost smell it from Australia Never mind the dew bundle her up great stuff
Lucky, in England I’m still waiting to cut mine and I’ve been ready for 2 weeks bloody British weather
This was 2 weeks ago it's pissing rain since here
Will be baling our hay for second cut on pastures ground.
That is some amount of class hay saved. Great job lads👌👌💯
Beautiful drone footage, Phil!
Can't wait to see the new baler in action 👍
Let the pressure back to get more bales to sell 🤫
Hello from Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Canada. Thanks for sharing your great video’s please keep them coming.
Couple of hours away from you in St Brieux Saskatchewan!
Do ye still have the 2 john deer balers and if so wheres the second one
Very good you will get it out 🙏🙏
You can not. And nothing ever will beat the note from a valmet motor works 7.4 😍😍
Savage work by all concerned Phil. ....long days.....nights too but worth it all in the end....once yolks can be fixed sure whats the bother on ye and at least ye have the Crystal to back up drawing if need be !!!! Fair play folks !!
You are some goer Phil, long may you run👍👍.
Farmer Phil have a seen the new Massey 8s it looks a good 👍 tractor 🚜 great video farmer Phil good drone footage great 👍 looking hay 👩🌾👩🌾👍👍🏴🏴🇬🇧🇬🇧👌👌🚜🚜🚜
The 35 and haybob would have been fairly under pressure at 100 acres in that time frame!
Outstanding again phil , you were lucky with that crop .
Keep her lit 🔥 lad some people don’t understand the pressure of contracting ye are doing a good job 👍
Great video Phil.
Watching from Norwich, Norfolk
Stall whats wrong with the 6270? Mudguard 😂
Lovely sound in the Valmet/Sisu 7.4 litre engines :)

Phil make a vid on drawing them home
Your baler PTO shaft is worth looking at. Looks a bit loose to me
That’s just the cover of the shaft
@@paulbarrett6127 you don't know that until you check it
@@conor7187 every second shaft is the same. There’s a plastic bearing on the end of each shaft they don’t last pissing time on any shaft

Father Phil has it checked out and it was the plastic bearing that the cover runs on was gone and is now fixed. PTO shafts are deadly dangerous.
Eric is getting handy on the drone.
Davy from Newcastle-upon-Tyne
Back at my home here in spain 🇪🇸 love vids cheers Phil
What happened to bro on the rake
misty here in cork to day
There was some hay cut that week and hopefully in the next 2 weeks it’s a similar story
When will you be starting your Wholecrop??
Cleaning out the kit better would be a big help, a bit of debris can work its way into the bearings or seals. Also having dry matter in and around things that get hot is a fire hazard.
Was it him or Gerry 6420 learned that the hard way
You should do a q and a with Robert
You should do a compilation of useful tips people have given you after watching your vids. Maybe another one of useless completely wrong advice.
Or of tips from the channel said by yourself and farther phil
Stick a bolt through the viscous hub fan make it stay on all the time won't cause no trouble cheaper then a new one.
That's an old massy but listen to it when he powers it up beast
What spray did ye use for the docks?

If you are stood at an unsafe distance from the shaft when spinning, you should be more worried about the pickup
Will you do a video of changing the knives on the baler or do it in a video
Pardon my ignorance never used a combi but is there not a setting u can dump the bale instead of the wrapper motion ?
Not on the McHales, bonus is you can carry it on the wrapper & dump 2 in the same spot, works well baling headlands
Bloody hell bro good hay

You can make the baler make a half bale or whatever is left in your chamber which will leave the baler empty for the next crop

What year is that baler??
When are the tyres getting fitted to the 36
Windbreaker will let in alot of rain hard to beat Yorkshire boarding
100 like
Interesting
been awile but didnt mean offensive on your corn. or your way of farming. being a Yank i can be a smart-ass. none the less keep up the good shows and your family is damn good farmers.
You should get a head mounted go pro it would look silly but better quality vids
Why wouldnt a metal detector be standard on the balers?
Beautiful drone footage again!! Well done, Phil! Awesome rows!
Please keep the drone shots coming!
how do you work with out a radio i would go mentel
He probably just turns it off when talking to the camera so we can hear him and also copyright reasons
would you recommend a john deere 578 baler for a farmers own use ....?
Father Phil said "yes"
Farmer across the ditch to me has one, never left his farm with it. Not an ounce of hardship to be fair. Better job than a claas
Hay for sale phil?
If you spike the bales it will help stop them from heating
Bore 2 holes in the fan an put 2 rollpins in that’ll keep her going
Where's the front mudguard on the 6499 Phil ?
It fell off
Waiting at a bus stop to go back on
Are you selling that hay? And if you are how much per bale?
need to get your aircon fixed
Can ya do a q and a some time your not busy
Who is picking up the bales before the rain
First
Hay looks a bit bleached.
Wha is the relation with Robert is he the one always helping father Phil in the garage
yes hes the one who done up the 6499
why no AC on your 6499?
Well if you listened to him you’d have heard there a problem with it and they’ve probably not had a chance to look at it yet
Sort that mudguard out!
