The way you did it in the video didn’t work in iOS 16 either, you’re supposed to navigate to the shutdown option in system settings or press volume up then down and then hold the side button before holding the (virtual) home button. The menu it enters when shutting down this way doesn’t have the medical ID and emergency call sliders and looks a little different. I haven’t tested it in the recent version, because my Xs is still running iOS 16, but back in July when I was using iOS 17’s dev betas it definitely worked on my 14 Pro Max
Thank you for confirming. I've used this method for many years and so many videos say you can still use it on iOS 17 that I thought I was doing something wrong or that I had a glitch. Glad I came across your channel.
It actually still works what u have to do is when u press shutdown in settings u have to hold the home button or virtual home button for over 30 seconds u just have to hold it for a little while and it flashes and asks for ur passcode and it resets ur ram so it still works even on the newest ios it just takes much longer

I’ve found that turning off passcode allows it to work
thanks🫱🏿🫲🏻
Ya It works
thanks bro
Ya bro its worked 😅 thanks ✌️
Yeah that works, but why aren’t apple ever fixing it
There is a way of speeding this up, if only slightly. You can add 'Restart' to the AssistiveTouch menu, or you can create a Shortcut for 'Restart'.
That’s a restart tho not clearing the ram as fast as it used to be now it Only works with passcode turned off now😢
Get a ram clear app. I got Device Monitor. It has a widget shortcut to clear ram faster.
I hate Apple, but I don’t want to look poor😂
Lmao wtf, stop giving AF about people’s opinion kid !
It works, you have to hold the assistive touch much longer up to 1-2 min
Doesn’t work have to have passcode turned off
@@CyberpunkSamuraiIt does I just tried it. It’s about 30-50 sec
Hey, off topic but how did you add your name at the bottom of the lockscreen?
You can go to focus modes and make a custom mode with your name👍🏼

It’s not more complicated than just turning your phone off and back on. It automatically clears it or so I’ve heard.
Device Monitor²: Am I a joke to you??
Fake video
I thought I was the only one
Will my data lost after this
No
Apple wtf 🤦♂️. Why take something that was easy and make it more difficult?
