I beat this stage for the first time last night (only ascension 1) and I just planted Mountain in front of the blue box on the right, set up vanguard/medics/sniper/defender on the left, and just plopped my S2M3 Module lv3 E2 Max Jaye in front of the boss and let him do his thing until he eventually whittled her down.
