Thanks so much for talking about your hip replacement. In the U.S. the anterior method is most common,, but it is similar to the superpath method. Have had 6 rescue dogs and two puppy's on my farm with my now ex. Handful (mostly my ex😉😂) , with sometimes a bit struggles between the dogs. The two big dogs both mountain herd dogs French Pyrenees and Polish Tatra dog and the others 3 French Basset dogs and 3 Wieners/ Dachshund.
2 pigs, 6 Wales sheep, 2 pony's, lots of chicken(breeding), etc etc more than 200 animals. Lots of hard work. They made my life colorful back then. Now started all over with 1 wildwiredhaired wiener, 1 cat, both rescue animals, 9 chickens and a lot of German wildlife. They always seem to find the way to my property. 😂
I love how you both run it in Portugal, you're both lovely, kind and fun people. I enjoy to follow your video's from the start. Thank you❤

We also have a Meireles (Portuguese brand!) cook stove here in France. It is the only one we could find that had a gas oven as well as a gas hob, since they have been phasing them out here and one can only find electric ovens. Since we're off grid, that would be a huge electricity drain. We had to drive down to Spain to get it!

I got super sick with the intravenous anesthesia too. Definitely something to tell the doctor if you go in for another surgery. The gas anesthetic didn't make me sick at all - it's just more maintenance for the surgery team to monitor. So glad to see you both doing well. I'm super curious about how you're going to handle the slaughter/butchering of the pigs, and if they taste as good as they are supposed to :) I wish I had thought of a question last week! I have tons of them now :)

We have a big feral hog problem here in Texas even in towns and cities. I live on the outskirts of my city on 1.3 acres, most areas are now urban subdivisions on small lots. I had a sow and piglets and few others grown pigs in a herd plow up my land. My nephew sat at night in the back of his truck and shot 2 of them. Then got hog trap and captured sow and 3 piglets. My neighbor came and shot them to harvest. Other neighbors in RV(caravan) park down the street someone their saw us shoot them and called the police. Handcuffed my neighbor put my 22 in the trunk. Finally got through to those officers that these were feral hogs not pets. Went to court $500 fine for discharging firearm in the city.

Anyway having only kunekune pigs sure looks like a pretty good option.

@@projectportugal That's great to hear! I posted a question about this on Facebook and the experiences were either that they loved or hated the health services here. Very little inbetween haha. But some of the cheapest private healthcare providers I found were 100-200 euro's per month, whereas in Belgium we only paid that much PER YEAR for excellent service ... So if the public service is good enough, that's a lot of money saved.
