The Jets had a top 5 defense this year until the day Saleh was fired....then they started to suck the rest of the year. How has the Jets defense "fallen off" under Saleh?
He only had one good year with San Fran. His overall record with San Fran as the defensive coordinator. 23 wins 41 losses His combined record as a head coach is 43 wins 77 losses😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 He was such a big baby. They had to escort him out of the facility with security. I promise you we do not want that type of energy on this team.
@ Robert Saleh has held significant coaching positions in the NFL, notably as the defensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers and as the head coach of the New York Jets. Here’s a summary of his coaching record: Defensive Coordinator (San Francisco 49ers, 2017-2020): • Regular Season Record: During Saleh’s tenure, the 49ers had a combined regular-season record of 23 wins and 41 losses. • Playoff Appearances: The 49ers made one playoff appearance in the 2019 season, advancing to Super Bowl LIV but losing to the Kansas City Chiefs. Head Coach (New York Jets, 2021-2024): • Regular Season Record: Saleh’s tenure with the Jets resulted in 20 wins and 36 losses over three-plus seasons. • Playoff Appearances: The Jets did not qualify for the playoffs during Saleh’s tenure. Overall Coaching Record: • Combined Regular Season Record: 43 wins and 77 losses. • Combined Playoff Record: 0 wins and 1 loss. It’s important to note that while Saleh was the defensive coordinator, the team’s overall record reflects the performance of the entire team, not solely the defense. Similarly, as a head coach, the record encompasses all aspects of the team’s performance. Despite the challenges reflected in these records, Saleh is recognized for his defensive acumen and leadership qualities, which have made him a candidate for various coaching positions following his tenure with the Jets.
I TOTALLY agree with this! This is acting like a team that really is not making winning championships its primary focus. I think they are trying to find coaching candidates whom they can hire at the cheapest possible cost. Somewhere, this team has changed its philosophy when it comes to winning. It feels like it has "El Cheapo Capo" (Cheap Cap Officer) Stephen Jones written all over it. Although this does not fall under the cap, it still feels like Stephen has his fingerprints all over it.

Fine with it as dc only
Instead of America's team, the Cowboys must identify as self-destructive or Jerry Jones truly wants to take his team to his grave with him.
Ugh
Steve Wilks for DC
Saleh is just the kind of spineless mush Jerry loves. He would be fine as DC. HC -- hell no!
Rex Ryan??
