Yk as a New Zealander I love how the crowd respected and actually cheered for the haka, you guys are legends
French guy here, we absolutely love The Haka, and the All Blacks :)
it was a great game! See you in Final! Cheers from France!
Send shivers down my spine bro the respect in the sport is mad huge respect to the French from nz 💪
I was at an Irish bar in Munich where 90% of the crowd were french. Seconds before the haka the bar went silent. Everyone applauded afterwards. It is always an impressive thing to see. I wish culture was more expressed and appreciated in other sports and other walks of life 🤷♂️
We French love the haka and the All Blacks!
Yeah it’s cool bro..
This is what rugby fans are all about. The french fans have probably never seen the haka live so it was just as important as the game itself. Impeccable respect for the haka.
They have actually the best haka much better then this one was performed when they played the French in 2011 World Cup final
Haka has been such an incredible touch in the Rugby culture. We’ll never see that in football.
I think all the national team of NZ do some sort of Haka, not just the rugby players.
What is football?

NZ maybe your luck is running out. My opinion years of borderline breaking of the rules and refs favouring you is your downfall. Richi Mc Caw era perhaps taught you bad habits. This tupid Haka nonsense belongs in the Zoo really it is 2023. Well done France
Regardless of the result, I absolutely love this from the ABs. Can’t think of a better way to honour the WC opening than with this. Thank you NZ, and merci beaucoup France!

Didn't get them anywhere though. Well done Les Bleus.......
You can’t beat a good bit o’ folk dancing.
They are very pretty. But wouldn’t they be better spending more time practising at rugby?
Allez les bleus!
Yeah great performance by both teams. It was a great game of rugby. Haka was beautiful as always. The French team deserves the win.
It’s getting old tbh
A pity their playing skills, do not match their Haka. New Zealand Infantry Haka is far more inspiring than this one-Onward.
This always gives me the goosebumps every single time.
Why? Second hand embarrassment?
The rooster will always respect the kiwi. Been to NZ once, Haka's a great reflection of how people are over there : warriors with tremendous heart.

@@crazystuff6011well said. The haka would never be allowed in football. The NZ Women's Football team did a haka, but only after the game, to the crowd, at the 2011 Fifa Women's World Cup. Women do a different type of haka to men. Still fierce but with a lot more graceful movements. They don't squat down, they don't poke out the tongue, and their actions are more feminine. One of the players was Maori, so maybe that's why they did it, but in general, because not much Maori play football, the NZ Football men never do the haka.
Check out "Haka across sports" on UA-cam. It shows national NZ teams from various sports doing a haka. Most are before World Championships or World Cups.
These sports :
American Football
Australian Rules Football
Baseball
Basketball
Handball
Hockey
Ice Hockey
Indoor Cricket

That Smith guy can really scream. He screamed the whole time during the final.
Hearty as
Being yappers is a job requirement for halfbacks. And Nuggie is the best in the business. Did you hear him in that last 38 phase defensive stand at the end of the Ireland game yelling to Ardie Savea who was appealing to the touch judges to get up back into the defensive line ? Amongst the deafening noise Ardie heard him and immediately jumped back up to defend. That's what having big lungs in crucial moments gets you.

We Did a Great "HAKA" & the first try was beautiful to wach BUT,,,,,,The New Zealand "All-Blacks" I thought we were on our way with the first try (about 2 mins) & I thought all those French players would melt in the heat. But when all the teams have great kickers, we cannot afford to give away penalties, because every time we do, it costs us 3 points. God knows how many times we kicked the ball away.
