One thing I don't quite understand about this glitch is how going forward at the start works. I know its to cross the 1st checkpoint and obey the 95% rule, but after that you literally turn around and head back to before the 1st checkpoint. How does the glitch still work then?
The 95% rule relies on the lap completion value, which is only updated when entering a new checkpoint. Driving forwards and backwards again sets it to the end of the first checkpoint instead of the beginning.
