    Big spell cheese may win games but it doesn't look fun. Koatl's claw or bust for me.

    Waiting for Koatl's Claw point decrease. I don't want to have to rely on spells for my Coalesced to perform

    Fundementally the whole split between stars and coalesced rears its ugly head again. Its difficult to balance the damned book if you have 1 set of warscrolls for two completely different armies.

    gw should nerf kroak+ incarnate rupture+ starborn points.
    but they MUST buff coalesced side a lot of. like i have been saying since book dropped,everything do way too low dmg and cost too much, and we dont have any buff, only 1 wound charging or slan rend buff. when others faction have cheaper scrolls that does more dmg and have tons of buffs like extra atacks,+wound, atack first etc etc
    my idea to gw, and i send them a mail everyday is to add bites to every saurus, and big dinosaur. dont get why only foot saurus has them.
    6 dices to carno, 4 to stegadon, 3 to basti, 2 to each agradon, 4 agradon hero.
    it would sligthy raise coalesced dmg and faction rule would actually interact with whole faction

      Coalesced can go deep into tourneys. The list shown was a 4-1 list. The current GHB is very specifically meant to be a wizard focused ghb, factions that ignore (ignore not counter) the new mechanics are going to be slightly underpowered. This Koatl's claw in Galet would be one of the strongest factions.

    Why is Seraphon so low actually?
    Everytime I played against them or saw someone else play. The opponent of the Seraphon is just picking models in the hero phase that die from all the spells and mortal wounds.

    • @CalebHastings
      @CalebHastings  Рік тому

      The hard counter for Starborne is OBR Null Myriad, and that army/faction is VERY popular right now. So OBR might be what is keeping Starborne in check.
      Hopefully HonestWargamer's Stats Center app will be updated soon and we will see what matchups keep beating Seraphon.

    I find it really annoying that Khorne can move a unit into combat for a Blood Tithe point. But they FAQ'd Telepathic summons so you can't summon into combat. It feels like Coalesced are being punished for the last book

    • @CalebHastings
      @CalebHastings  Рік тому +1

      Looks like he picked the Spell Enhancement at his Warlord extra enhancement. 1 artifact (standard) on Astrolith and then the Warlord Enhancement was spent on extra spell for the wizards. A great way to use the extra enhancement in Starborne!

    I think I might have come up with a pretty cool use for telepathic summons... You have an Astrolith bearer as your general who you keep back in your territory. You send out your Aggradons with vengeful defender as per normal. Then, in round two or three, you use telepathic summons to bring them back and place them somewhere within 12 inches of your general. You could then make a hero phase move to cover the distance between them and their target as that move is not happening in the movement phase and would still be legal.

    • @Eliwood10
      @Eliwood10 Рік тому +3

      Wouldn't work, unfortunately, because Vengeful Defender specifically takes place at the start of the Hero Phase. So you wouldn't be able to cast the spell and then move.
      Would be really fun though if it were possible!

    I would almost scratch out Draco and TL from this analysis. The sample size for them is too low. Especially since we don't know the skill of those players. I would almost encourage players to keep running those sub factions just to understand if those are accurate win rates... for science.

    • @danielhing
      @danielhing Рік тому +2

      Goes both ways, good players who are trying to win tournaments won't play a faction that's underpowered so you aren't going to get those games in.

    Thunderlizard is being held back by netlisting, if people don’t play it they don’t play it. The points are the same if not less now than when it was winning and I am shooty stomping tables with it lately.

    • @sururu6
      @sururu6 Рік тому +2

      ??? points are higher,
      everything lost dmg with bites lost.
      lost 1000 buffs. per example an estegadon chief could do like 35 rend1 average dmg before, now it cost more and only can do less than 13 dmg.
      so.... no. every coalesced faction is doing really bad because everything do too low dmg and cost too high

    • @MrJadeskies
      @MrJadeskies Рік тому

      @@sururu6what did you gain? You have bastillodons who don’t bracket, stegadons that count as 10 on objectives, salamanders that strip armor, carnisaur old one with the ability to hand out two commands a phase (2bastillodons with AoA, AoD, rain hell, ect) and the ability to stop 1-2 wound models from holding objectives. Last game the carnisaur ate a vampire lord on foot with monster reaction. You have a troglodon that has-1 to hit aura, and a spell to heal monsters. The old one doesn’t allow auto pass bravery checks. -3 rend on bastillodon shots, -2 rend on salamander shots, ect.
      You got plenty back for what you lost. It’s not unplayable or unwinnable

      @@MrJadeskiesI don't think that's enough though. Coalesced has no way to consistently deliver ranged damage. It's all insistent that you go into combat, but everything besides warriors in on the squishy end. Bastiladon with Solar Engine and salamanders are borderline bad.
