Cool video, bro. I appreciate that u give us real life use on these phones. Honestly u can’t go wrong with any recent Samsung galaxy s phone. They’re so packed up with useful features. I’m rocking the s24 ultra n honestly I’m keeping this one for at least 3 more yrs.
I gave it to my dad and he is very happy with it since he uses it with 60hz. He browses a lot and somtimes watches some videos and his SOT is 8.5 hours. If you aren't a heavy user, this is still a great phone.
This is the video I’ve been waiting for! Was rocking my S22 Ultra last week. The only down side was the HORRIBLE battery life. And that was not even on the highest setting! The curved screen on this phone is perfect. I don’t get accidental issues on this one.
S22 ultra here as well scored it so cheap 720 bucks aud in the box brand new 512gb storage got it last year in 2024 during June or July, absolutely good phone def worth its money best phone they've made for its time same with the s9 note 10, note 20 ultra, s21 ultra and 22 ultra 23 ultra was a tiny upgrade, the 24 was a downgrade in camera and screen, when u look at colours on the screen and brightness, cameras don't zoom as good the flat display is less screen in reality when side by side eye by eye, it really was the perfect phone, it needed a few things to make it perfect perfect, but every phone does, some need heaps, just needs better battery like the fold 6 that thing lasts forever
Been rocking my S22 Ultra since the start! I have not had any issues with it at all. I will upgrade to the S25 Ultra but I don't have to. I just want to! 😂😂😂
Hahaha. I feel, but I would just wait until the S26 drops. My S22 Ultra is still going strong, no need for me to upgrade just, yet the 22U is still a beast
I know that when the S22 Ultra came out, overheating and poor battery life were big issues. Would you say that both issues have been fixed over time? I'm shocked that the speakers on the S22 Ultra are worse than the S21 Ultra and I've been considering buying the S21 Ultra lately. The only thing that holds me back is the S21 Ultra will only get one more OS update so I question how long it'll hold up. Thanks for doing these revisited videos on old flagships, keep up the great work!
Stand by time has improved with the s22 ultra, but battery is average, and I never have heating issues I’m not a heavy user. The s21 ultra for the price it’s at is still a great deal. It will still get security updates after android 15.
@matthews-tech yeah I'm not a heavy user myself but I remember many saying the 8 gen 1 processor was horrible on thermals with overheating. Stand by time is a big deal too. The S21 Ultra had the best design for an ultra model because I'm not a fan of the boxy design with sharper curved edges. Would you say the speakers on the S21 ultra are much better than the S22 Ultra? I knew the S21 Ultra would get Android 15 with One UI 7 and security updates though they won't be every month. It'd be nice if Samsung boosted support for the S21 and S22 series of phones for another year or two. Thanks for replying, Matt!
@@devilkazumi578 does the Snapdragon 888 still have overheating problems? I had an S21 FE with that same processor a few years ago and while it got a little warm in gaming, it generally didn't overheat. Even when I did pretty heavy multitasking it was just slightly warm but not hot.
I have an S22 Ultra as my main phone and all I can say is it is amazing, except performance. My S22 Ultra is unfortunately the Exynos model and it sucks ass. It is very laggy compared to my dad's S22 base model with 8 Gen 1 in it, but Exynos doesn't have heating issues. 1.100.000 in Antutu for an 2022 flagship is kinda lame in my opinion. Gaming wise Exynos sucks too. I was playing Pubg and I was dissapointed when I saw it can go up to Extreme framerate (60 FPS), not the Extreme + (90 FPS) like SD model does. It delivered consistant 60 FPS but I wanted those extra frames really bad. I did a lag test with my dad's S22 and my S22 Ultra ; S22 base model didn't lag but it got warm after 5 minutes, but my S22 Ultra lagged after opening 3 apps. Imo I would rather have a rather overheating smooth 8 Gen 1 than an laggy unoptimized Exynos 2200. Performance is my only complaint about S22 Ultra. Battery on my S22 Ultra is amazing. Before I had an S10 base model and battery was horrible. Drained from 100 to 15 in just 2 hours of light use. Now on S22 Ultra, battery lasts almost 2 days on a single charge. Before I had to charge my S10 4 times a day. Speakers - amazing, significantly better than on S10. I also did a speaker test with my S22 Ultra and my grandpa's S23 Ultra. My S22 Ultra had far better speakers than S23 Ultra. For some reason, S22 Ultra was bassier, crisper and louder. Before, S23 Ultra was an clear winner in terms of speakers. Overall, only complain about S22 Ultra is the Performance. Exynos SUCKS, thank god Samsung got rid of it.
I regret trading this phone in. I got it and in a week I decided it was too big. Sadly I went with a pixel at the time. I still know people rocking this in the new year 2025. Size was my only complaint though everything else was great.
Worth considering because it offers value for money but i rather go for the S23 ultra. The heat and throttling issues of this phone is a turn off for me. And the exynos isn't it.
There's no reason to get rid of your 22 ultra if it has nothing wrong with it. All the new phones have better chipsets a scratch better, and the cameras aren't worth the price tag.
@GamingwithGhostx ui is laggy after the October update but it could be fixed but still we can't sure, the video performance is not it, alot of grains and bad highlights control. Battery just doesn't work man specially with new updates

I bought it last dec, my first s series phone, haven't started using it completely bt i m just loving it especially the zoom lens
Besides the battery life, this phone holds up.
6.5h~ SOT. As a heavy user with this phone, it lasts the whole day with like 15-25% left

Nice video mahn
Thanks!
Still a decent device and a capable even in 2025. Looking forward to the S25 ultra.
Watching on my S24 FE, this phone is still very solid and the camera is better than my phone as far as zoom quality is concerned.

@DWtechfan yeah the snapdragon888 was made by samsung themselves
This vlog using the s22 ultra was A1 content 👌
Watching this video on my Samsung note 20 ultra while my s22 ultra sits in drawer. Great video @MatthewsTech
First 🥇 btw you got me to get my s21 ultra with your reviews 👏🏽
How is it? What are the newest features that it has?
Awesome!
If I compare it to my S24 ultra not that many I just really wanted a back up and that phantom black 🖤
