Great video but your missing a whole procedure. You must also install a relay module that tells the computer the air system is good. Otherwise you will get a fault code on your dash.
I just did the Arnott coilover conversion to w221The ride height is perfect/normal and the car rides great. It does ride like sport mode and the sport mode light stays on. I did the job myself and it was pretty easy. At this point I have no regrets.
Did you do both front and back conversion? What was Arnott model number? Could you kindly provide a link? How much did the whole set cost? Sorry about all the question but I really appreciate it. Thanks!
@@zacklee5168 Yes, they were a little firmer at first. After about 300 miles they settled and ride even better. I like them. I run 19” tires and it’s not a harsh ride.
Yes and don't buy from Strutmasters. They're way overpriced. I put a brand called Touring Tech on my 06 S430 and it rides phenomenal. 5 hundred dollars. Have the price of Strutmasters with a lifetime warranty.
There is so much crap about how its a bad idea owning an s class out of warranty or you should only lease them. IF you are capable of working on your vehicles most issues that appear with these cars can be fixed without much issue and fairly affordable on the aftermarket. Yes many small electronics can fail, nothing that will keep it forom moving down the road safely or cant be fixed yourself with a copy of mercedes xentry. even the 9spd trans is easy to service on these and even have a drain plug on the converter so no flush required.
Strutmasters and their ridiculously overpriced conversion struts. Guys, look elsewhere. I got mine from a brand called Touring Tech for half the price and they're fantastic.2006 S430. Also have a lifetime warranty. Why spend a thousand dollars on a 20 year old car? My care rides excellent.

Thinking of purchasing a 2020 s550 in the future. Will definitely convert my suspension to coil if the air suspension goes out. Thank you!
Thanks for trusting #thesuspensionexperts Gary!
