- Master & Starter Relays by Lamar - Grumman Style: Here we look at the Lamar X61-0028 (Master) and the X61-0030 (Starter) relays that are available. Video 1,324 in the Hit Parade.
I just experienced the starter contactor welding closed on a 172 I'm working on. I appreciate the in depth breakdown... my first time experiencing this. Awesome video!
Just replace it, glad the video helped.
Thanks for sharing the knowledge. The Lamar relays appear taller than the originals. Any fitment issues?
No, one is usually upside down so the master out is the same side as starter relay in on the same side.
@@GrummanPilots I see. So you are able to reuse the jumper p/n 902030-1?
@@macmak Sometimes, depends on size of unit (which has changed) and easy to make another jumper (I use copper).
Good job explaining the difference between the three and four post relays.
Good job distinguishing the continuous vs intermittent duty electrical application.
Any pilot procedure for a shorted starter relay during engine start?
Master off, FYI
I was following your until you got to the starter contactor you're fingers and calling out numbers ???? Totally confused me??,
x61-0028 and x61-0030 both by aircraft spruce.
