Making your own apron is a fantastic project. One of my first sewing and leather work projects was a shop apron largely inspired by some of your workplace accessories. I literally planned it out by saying what would jimmy diresta or nick offerman do and followed the same freestyle process you’ve got here. Love it.

The video demonstrates you are a good welder... That is a talent that is both learned and gifted...

I know what everyone's thinking. "With an apron like this, I will finally be able to fry bacon in the nude". 🥓🥓🥓🥓

Great apron. I really like the pockets, nicely done.

Awesome video!! You should consider using a charcoal chimney to prepare your charcoal versus the lighter fluid. Small amount of paper would be all you need. Hope this helps and best wishes to everyone and your families.

OLD LEATHER SMITH here, not bad Jimmy, the Leather is called PULL UP, I use it in covering my BIBLES when I do repairs Suggestion, Elk would B a good padding on shoulders, personally I would use sole leather instead of metal, GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃

Interesting, definitely would have to be one off custom for each customer if someone was going to offer these up.

Maybe you could have some straps or pockets that they sit inside of? That would eliminate the swinging

Saw this on Jimmy's channel. It is just brash and unapologetic. Nice one Jimmy.

Hey, I accidentally bought 12 ounce leather when I meant to buy 8 ounce, are there good projects I could do with that, other than a weight belt. I was thinking about regular belts, but idk if thats too thick for it

    • @kboleather
      @kboleather 3 роки тому

Sheaths. 12 ounce is definitely too thick for belts.
You could try and find someone who has a leather splitter and pay them to split your 12 ounce into 8 ounces.

Nokk, OLD LEATHER SMITH here, I make belts out of 12oz.16oz
Leather, in fact I just had a client tell me he passed 1 of the belts I made him out of 16oz 2 his son, the only thing I might have 2 do is make it shorter, but we will C, GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃

I could think of lots of genuine leather crafters you could sponsor who teach the fundamentals and techniques of leather crafting. This video is ridiculous.

please explain what a "genuine leathercrafter" is and why jimmy doesn't count as one.

Hey Weaver, leave the video production to Chuck!! This was a ridiculous waste of time. Why publish a video for something that no one else will ever want to make?

  • @filstewart2380

Ridiculous. Even in the opening shot it was clear the tools were just banging off his arms as he moved.
