hello Mr. Peterli ! i just got subscribed , and you know why ? the main reason : unlike other channels here, you declare 4K - and it's really so !!! :-) it's a pleasure to watch in high quality, and it's also in focus ( 99% of the time) ! so it's very enjoying , thanks ! AND, OF COURSE , the models are great looking, and the techniques are interesting great to watch too. may i say ,the FW-190 is my favorite of your works - but they ALL look awesome !
Big thank you for tuning in Mr. Eyalcr500 and leaving such a motivating comment!!! I know exactly which part you mean by out of focus 😄😄😄 i liked to build the fw190. I‘ll do another one in the future for sure!
I changed the times of the premier to check if it is more convenient for the viewers. Perhaps the next premier will be at 0300 am at my local time 😄😄😄 then it should be evening in the states... sure thing, you got me interested into self made stencils 👍👍👍
@@AirandGroundinScale my problem is being in NZ, our time zone often means really early premiers, most European ones are around 6:30am our time and American ones are during work hours.
Thanks a lot Jared!!! Also check out the smaller edition from the silhouette brand. Perhaps this is already enough for you, if your just cutting stencils for scale models and save some bucks. If you use amazon, please supprt the channel by using the link in the description. Very much appreciated!!!
Yes that would be a very nice addition!!! I mean if there are some delicate drawings on the plane, I'll go with the decals, but for the standard markings, I'll use my plotter... Thanks for your comment Chris!
Greetings from England. I have just found you sir! I am immediately drawn to technique and style of explaining what, why, and how you do things. Also your English is impeccable so thank you for that. Happy to subscribe.
Hey Leon. It has come together really well I think, the stencilling looks really good. I think the 2000 subs is just around the corner... maybe another 9 days?
Matt, how are you? I really love the cutting plotter! 9 days, why not 😃 I‘m very flattered that there are so many modellers who take their time and watch my stuff 😃👍 and that there are some true supporters like you!!! Thanks Matt!!!
Excellent build and video. My only comment would be is that you probably don't need to add a clear varnish before decals. Your paint was very smooth and well applied and the decals would have adhered very well to that surface. I say this as someone who doesn't like the decaling stage of a build, mostly because I mainly paint my markings and only use decals for the small stencils.
Hey Mr. v money, thank you for your interesting comment! Now I have a cutting plotter and as you can see, I tried to paint most of the markings myself. And this is much better than decaling, I absolutely agree! I read a lot about the debate about to varnish or not before decaling. I myself had some bad experiences with silverving Decals, because the decal wouldn't adhere to the (smooth) surface, even with decal solvent... So, to prevent that, I spray a coat of gloss varnish to be secure and as a side effect, this protects the base coat a little bit for my mishaps :) For me, there's no downside in clear varnishing, except I didn't know some negative effects, which I should consider? Perhaps you could tell me, I'm always eager to learn new things and adapt to my workflow :)
@@AirandGroundinScale I’m always nervous about getting texture from the clear coat, since I don’t spray it often and haven’t perfected the technique. Working on a plane now and I am finally happy with my decals and my technique. I really made sure I got all the air out and pressed the decal to the surface as best I could. I find the smaller stencil decals harder to do, seem to get silvering on them, but not this time. The only issue I had was the thickness of the decals (Tamiya) and so I had to clear coat the decals and sand them down to hide the edges. Worked well for my first attempt .
Nice! Thinking to get a silhouette portrait cutter. It does the same as the cameo but a bit cheaper and smaller. I use Gunze decal setting and softening solution but it can attack the paint too. Using gx 100 super clear gloss varnish is more durable but even with that the timeframe for placing the decals and correcting their position is too small. Removing the access fluid asap is the key.
Hey Mr.Lonewolf! Thank you very mich for tuning in and commenting! As my wife uses the silhouette for her crafting, so the bigger working surface comes in handy. But if i would use it just for decals, i would have bought the portrait. Thanks for sharing your experience with your decaling solutions! I have to improve my decaling workflow...
The chat is there to exchange the thoughts about the content! I used Tamiyas Nato Black, which has a blue green tint to it. Check the video again in 4k, the color is then darker, which replicates more the real life model... Tasic, thank you so much to join the premier!!! Have a great evening!!!
Oh to bad, i‘ll get it clearer next time. But if you want to check out some self made wash i can recommend you my other videos about the do335 or the kv-2. there i used an oil wash... thanks a lot for tuning in!!!
It wont be long untill shes finished it seems! Ive had mr mark softer eat through gunze mr colour, just like what happened to you... I couldnt even fix the thing properly unfortunately

wow. Perfect job bro !!!

Love it, can’t wait to see you weather this!
Thanks a lot Cong!!! I've got many thought, how I should weather this black crow, but I don't know yet... Thanks for tuning in!

The stencil-maker is a great tool. I would like to see you paint a 4-color British roundel using this tool.

You should try Vms they have great stuff for decals and everything weathering based just look around the satin varnish is also very good
