    I always wanted to use carts for storage, but bringing them wherever manually was always the problem. I had no idea I could just attach a cart to a car! THANK YOU!
    The fact that this game doesn't have an inventory is a crime. On one had, it's cool that everything always have a physical presence in the world, but on the other, managing all these items is a huge pita and streamlining this process as much as possible is a requirement to keep your sanity.

    Small forge tip: You can get the "excess" bar from the side slots from on top of the anvil. Don't have to jump down and climb the stairs for each bar

    I bring a saw and pan to the Icehelm forge. What I do is saw my bars near the crucible so I have a stack of ingots, then I throw one of each in at a time and pull the lever. This allows me to just stand at the top and not worry about picking up the ingots every time. When I have one more to go, I run down with the pan and spam click the multiple ingots into the pan so they are one entity, then dump them all into the crucible to combine them and craft the final item.

    TIL that free placement also works on carts even if they have stuff put on them.
    Hold "E" while "driving" a cart and you can freely move , rotate and place it like an placeable item.
    Makes it easier to put the entire cart full of drills onto the Icehelm shute.

    I did my own spanner setup, and I wanted to figure it out without any additional help. I basically had this setup but had a greater than or equal to t junction with numpad set to 5. That worked, but this is much cheaper and a lot more compact. There are certainly some interesting things to do with logic in this game. This video has a lot of good, condensed information that often gets overlooked.

    I've done some experiments in the latest update, and it no longer seems to matter which order you place the pieces of the auto-repair loop, as long as you don't connect the reader to the spanner thrower without the flip hook between them. I assembled things and put the middle corner piece in last, and it went together just fine.
    Tip for the cart and the anvil: if you line up with the metal channels, and then go forward until the end of the handles are visually obscuring the part of the channel that drips into the refund slots, you're lined up almost perfect.

    just an additional tipp for the new gem compressors, i was salty that I couldn't put them side by side. Turned out that you can, they work as intended only with water, and you can turn them off with a logik valve. Also if you do like the animation they do if running, you can put a logic lever on them after placing them down and give them a one time signal. After that you can remove the lever again and put the next one down, the animation turns now on and off just with the water.

    • @cieboaplays
      @cieboaplays Рік тому

      Also if you can't open them just move the dot til it turns blue and you can pull out the Gem... no need for the logic

    Curious about your use of the flip-flop on the repair circuit. Obviously it works for you, but a plain flip would be "more correct", right? Essentially it's "if (durability > 0) doNothing(0) else fireSpanner(1)". Love the look of your mine btw, with the walls and flooring.

    With the need to have a line for each Tier of Pipe do you have an idea for a three pipe auto repair set up?

    • @Hybridsteel
      @Hybridsteel  Рік тому +1

      so after much tinkering you dont need a line for each tier u can run t1 and t2 off corestone pipes just have to branch off... so the way im slowly doing this is to run corestone through the whole belt system and then branch off to t1 and t2 when i get there

    • @cieboaplays
      @cieboaplays Рік тому

      @@Hybridsteel I will have to redo my belt system as I normally had them fed off the pipes from the drills/Harvesters

    One of the things I've found out after playing the game is that the logic saw gets really laggy if you try to move it after using it once, I have a decent laptop and it causes a lag spike every time I pick it up and put it down, and visibly increases general lag while on a belt. I have yet to try it, but I think I'm gonna scrap it and buy another one. The keypad also causes a tiny lag spike when I pick it up too, but not nearly as bad as the saw does
