- La Nina conditions took over the Pacific Northwest of the US this winter with a total of 6 Winter Storms that dumped over 40" of snow in the Lilac City over the course of the season. Here are the best clips taken from Timespan Media during each of these events. Enjoy!

Hi, Gabe... I didn't know we named our storms here. I have a name for them .. it's one word and it applies to all of them!
I hate snow, ice and cold, but we live in such a wonderful place that I put up with winter for the beauty of the other 3 seasons and the good people here.

I sure hope this coming winter won't be similar to the last one we've had, we hadn't had a winter like that in 20 years!
Doobie1975 yes we have, remember 2008 winter? 4ft of snow! That was crazy. Last winter was kinda bad though. This winter isn't supposed to be as bad, it's supposed to be mostly wet and warm
So far this winter has been a fairly pleasant one which I'm happy about, I agree the winter of 2008 was really bad although it only lasted for about 2 weeks.
Doobie1975 two weeks? I remember it being atleast a month. But yeah, last winter the snow stayed all the way till late march. I'm happy with how this winter is going so far besides last night, I had school late evening and I drive a small car with no snow tires and bald treads, that was scary. Sunset hill was shut down cause of how bad the conditions were, and traffic was horrible yesterday

Funny...BAD snow a few years ago and our newspaper had a picture of a completely snow covered car that they called "carshmallow". Still makes me laugh.
