Slim reminisced about the unexpected success of "No Flex Zone," which soared to number 36 on the Billboard 100 and went triple platinum. Their debut album, "SremmLife," exceeded expectations, producing five double-platinum singles, including "No Type," which peaked at number 16 on the Billboard chart. I thought they would last even longer but music evolvs fast i still listen to them every once in a while. What made them unique was most of their fan base was kids and teens but everybody liked them. It was the wave of rap at the time
They still do alright, they had a video out less than a year ago with 30+ million
I think they didn’t last longer because they used to take those long breaks between albums so it made it easy to forget about them.
They were hot from 2014-2019. Honestly that’s a long time at the top for a rapper. Those SoundCloud guys like lil pump that came after them lasted less than 2 years.
