I felt sorry for Omer, so many secrets and conspiracy around him, from his loved ones and enemies. He's been the only real character true to himself and everyone else. Frank, no lies.
He stuck to his principles and they destroyed him. And he realized that after a year in Rome. And he also acknowledged that to Sinan.

When did Omer ever get vindictive to her & do such petty things to her? Defne is the vindictive one by thinking all that about Omer.

Yes, like that of a 8-10yr old boy. I had a student before whose eyes look exactly like Omer. His nose is unlike other men’s nose - either average thickness or thin. In his profile, his nose is again like that of a young boy, slightly rounded, subtle “pugginess”
He has this mannerism that he does - with the lips together he’d sort of ever so slightly, chew something using his upper & lower front teeth. If you don’t look intently you’ll miss that “chewing” that he does.

Yes Omer sends for iz to take yasimi job , because Omer fired yasimi . But Omer never stops loving Defne . Iz is stupid to come back she thinks she has a chance with Omer . But Omer knows iz wants him , she told him, but Omer tells iz up front you’re here to take yasimi job and I need a friend. I've watched this series many times and I forgot one of my most fave scene at 1:51:45 - 1:55:11. Omer's pain was conveyed so well. I love how Sude, who didn't think much of the consequences of what she did to Defne, felt guilt and then confessed because she saw how much pain her cousin was in as a result of her actions. And his painful rage, followed by sorrowfully staring at the flower that Defne gave him.... chef's kiss.
Also, the song choice, kimse bilmez? Perfection. 💛
And I wished the translation could be better but anyways, still grateful that I still get to re-watch the series
Sude is jealous person, and her evil soul will be shown one more time, when she will stab in the back Defne, by showing Fikrets check to Tramba. Sude never felt sorry for Defne, she will never realize what true love is, until Sinan tells her (in later episodes), that love doesn't make person to act bad and evil.
Sude did not feel any remorse for what she has done so far, she confessed because yasemin told her that she will Tell Omar everything in the previous episode
@@mariafernandamartinez1093 No matter what Yasemin said to her, I believed that what really pushed her to bite the bullet and tell Omer the truth was how he reacted to her questions at that time stamp I put before. Like, when she asked the first question, she didn't seem to care much. But once she saw Omer's reaction, it hit her hard and she finally got the consequences of her actions. But, you know, her anger and bitterness got the best of her, so she messed up, over and over again, after that. But she eventually turned things around and had her redemption arc.

I wish they had added a love interest for Defne to make Omer jealous. It would have added a little more punch to the storyline. Omer had lots of groupies Yasmine, Iz, Feryal and Fikret. Why make it so one sided.

@@faizaabbasi302 I should have said multiple suitors to even things out. Defne is a beautiful women yet the writers didn’t add this to the storyline. They only had Dr Selim who was only in 3 episodes yet Yasmin, Iz, and Fikret were in many episodes. Only Feryal was in a few.

But yes in this show male dominancy is at the peak. Defne always loved Omer she literally become his kitty and Omer is so hard she can't even tell him the truth though she tried many times.

He was gutted when he saw Sinan and Defne on the boat together at his birthday party, he looked like he was going to have a melt down. Instead of going to Rome he went to his parent’s house to get away.
Why add to the already complicated life of Defne. She couldn’t handle her financial problems & Omer, now you would want men problems for him.
She had a problem deciding whether to introduce Omer as his boyfriend to her family, how can/will she handle would-be suitors - lie about them, hide/deny them, make light f the relationships? HOW, so that she’ll not end up compounding the problems.
Season 2 Defne will mature and Omer will be so jealous but they also will take their relationship to another level 🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️

I wondered why Sinan didn’t offer a loan to Defne so she could be free and clear from Neriman. It would have stayed between the two of them. He knew about the love for rent game because he was part of it. I supposethe writers wanted to keep the storyline in season 1 going for 52 episodes.

Don't do that all the time because especially Koray brings a lot of clarity to events. By fast forwarding you miss a lot of useful information because Koray sometimes tells part of de secret.

I keep on shouting in excitement when Omer and Defne bumped with each other again in a restaurant where Defne work as a waiter like the first time they meet Defne and Omer before, I thought they will get back together again when they talk in the side of the Restroom but still nothing resolved and even Defne came to Omer’s house to get her boots they talked also but still nothing happened of getting back still they control them self and they are in love with each other no one will give in , both their pride is as high as a tower of Eiffel Tower , what duh , I don’t get it .

This is how I discovered it too. I'd never watched a Turkish drama and found this on my algorithm months ago. I thought I'd use it to fall asleep to...but I got hooked immediately. I'm now on my 4th rewatch... I've tried other Turkish dramas, but none hit like this one. Defne and Omer are just magic.

This is my 4th rewatch. Although I skip annoying Neriman and Koray and Sude parts (Yasemin and Defne's family), I always watch scenes with Defne and Omer.... however I'm still not sure why Defne hasn't repaid Neriman already? Did she not cash Tramba's cheque?
Ese cheque nunca lo hizo efectivo. De hecho le llamó a Tramba y le dijo que le devolvería el cheque y le pidió que le regresara su diseño. Deniz no accedió, pero Defne nunca lo cobró. Entonces la deuda siguió

THIS was the opportunity for Defne to tell him the truth. They are already broken up! She has nothing to lose! This would reveal the strength of their love, by being truthful. It wouldn’t have dragged on so long. But I’m thankful a little because we got more episodes out the delay! I would NEVER be able to handle being under someone’s thumb!
But then she would have to pay Neriman back the TL 200,000 because there was no marriage and Neriman did not get the mansion. And knowing Neriman, she would even twist the story if Ömer believed Defne and go ask her for an explanation.
This scene the no manners IZ sure she made mistake to agree to come to Passionis just one call from OMER she thinks more job but for me she just a scape goat of OMER from loneliness missing DEFNE so much because she can't even hold the hand of DEFNE and she had a strong decision to live in her own without OMER or otherwise make DEFNE jealous but will see sure IZ still the looser because OMER still love DEFNE in any accounts thats true love..❤❤❤❤❤❤

She was seen as a traitor who collaborated with Tramba. Her relationship with Omer also no longer exists. So Neriman doesn't get her way. And what she wouldn't believe is that her own daughter had a hand in this.

What happened to the money paid by Tramba for Defne's design. Where did it go? That money can be used by her to pay her debt to Neriman ..

The check was never cashed. Defne wanted to give it back but Tramba did not accept it. He lied that the design was already in the production line. Because Tramba received the design unlawfully, he was not allowed to do anything with it. He never mentioned that check again so he must have canceled it. Maybe he also did that to hit Omer after he saw Omer and Defne walking outside. He knew they had more than a chef-assistant relationship.
Also the check wasn't enough to pay off the debt. She was hoping to sell more designs to Tramba and raise the total money. But as you can see, everything blew up.

She put off telling Omer - as if the consequences will be different. Whether Defne tells Omer before, now, or later, Omer will still be hurt. To cover up her big secret, Defne committed more lies, did more denials.
Is Neriman's role and Defne's debt to her conveniently forgotten?
Wasn't it clear how she had Defne in her clutches and how Ömer silences her every time Defne wants to tell something?
Defne protects Ömer himself. Or was it not clear what Sinan said to her on the awards night when Defne wanted to tell the truth?
So many reasons were shown and said why she hasn't revealed the truth yet and yet they are not seen.

El problema de Omer es que nunca tuvo la cortesía de decirle a Iz que solo la ve como amiga. Se lo dice hasta que ella se despide de él porque le duele ser su amiga. La relación entre Omer e Iz no es una amistad. Son una ex pareja donde ella quiere algo más y él lo sabe. Cuando en una relación así uno de los dos persigue otra cosa, ese vínculo debe romperse definitivamente porque no tienen los mismos objetivos y uno de los dos saldrá lastimado.
