    Honestly. I learned nothing that I couldn’t from the spec sheet. What I was hoping to learn was how to they differ in terms of the ride? Is the handling the same? Do you notice the difference in power when not on the highway? Is the brake power of the 900 enough given it’s a single disk? I was hoping to get your impressions of the 900 coming from a 1200 but ended up getting a spec listing and a sound comparison.

    My dilemma is a 2020 1200 v's a 2023 900. I've ridden the 1200, but not had an opportunity to compare to a new 900 ST. Is the 900 enough, or would the missing 30bhp be a big mistake?! Decisions, decisions (yeah, 1st world problems and all that)...

      It produces 64 hp, because they've designed it to be like that. Long stroke engine with 64 hp and 80 Nm torque at 3200 rpm. That amount of torque at just 3200 rpm is just madness.

    I’ve been riding a Honda Rebel 500 for 6 months having passed my test last year. I’m torn between the street scrambler 900 or the speed twin 1200 for my next bike. Do you think the 1200 would be too big a leap? Also is it okay for shorter riders? You’ve got another sub.

      I would say take both the Scrambler and the ST for a ride and see which suits your riding the best. Personally I love my 1200, it’s happy at low speeds around town and comes alive on an open road. I go touring on it too, rode to Italy last year and am off to Spain this year, such a great all round bike 😎 let me know what you decide, I’d be interested to hear what bike you go for 👍 thank you for subscribing too, I really appreciate your support 😊

    Eat more cakes, great idea.
    Appreciate cost may be an issue but why no rev meter on the 900? Seems odd nowadays, guess the 900 is the 'small bike'. In my teenage days my 650 Bonnie was considered a superbike, 500s were big bikes, 350s were pretty useful too. How times have changed. Oddly, a Yamaha Diversion I had a few years back, 600cc four cylinder, the entire engine was smaller than one pot on a Rocket 3 😎😎

    Sorry hun thums down for me. I was looking forward to seeing your review, a woman's perspective. Sure I expected the cosmetics/appearance to better then me. But I also have eyes and can see for myself. What I don't have is the bike, YOU DO and I was looking forward to you telling us how it FELT to ride each of them, what the differences was, how rides felt. Beyond, it "feels pretty good" for example. I can say that about bubble gum. Do the bikes front end 'dive' at low speeds? how quickly and smoothly and linear do they rev up? is there torque in the low end or do you have to go over 3000rpm's to feel any power. You answered none of it. Can't give you thumbs up hun. You are very charming for sure, but the review was lacking and could have been way, way, better. You obviously present very well, just gotta deliver more content.

      The 900 is lighter and has a lower seat than the 1200 so may suit someone better than the 1200. The 900 are certainly very popular as too were their predecessor, the Street Twin.

    • @ozgurhsonmez
      @ozgurhsonmez Рік тому +8

      The Speed Twin 900 has a classic front fork instead of USD (new model), an 18inch front wheel instead of 17inch and mid pegs while the 1200's pegs are farther back. Sounds like some minor differences but the 1200's stance and posture of the rider on the bike are quite a bit more sporty and aggressive, whilst the 900 has the classier look and more relaxed riding style. The power difference comes into play when accelerating, not so much on highways. Since neither one has any wind protection the average speed on longer highway rides depends rather on the rider's power than the bikes'. The 900's power (0-60 in around 5sec) is plenty to have some fun on the road. ''Better ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow'' has been a good concept in my almost 30 years of riding experience. Cheers.
