What do you mean by important academic sources? If you mean MOOC, you can check out eDX, Coursera, Eudemy. If you mean coursework, check out what courses the colleges of your choice offer, and look up the introductory plans of those. On the top of my mind, I would suggest Advanced System Design, Advanced Databases, Project Management, Cyber Security, Data warehousing, Data Analytics. Good luck!
Please correct me if I am wrong. Since I am fresher with no work exp, and SUNY MIS course is of like 1 year duration, is it better for students with work exp to apply for it? I am considering applying for UIC Chicago, Stevens, IIT Chicago. I needed a mix of tech and business/mgmt curriculum. If luckly I get admit from each of the three institutes, which one should I consider? I am interested in pursuing consultant (business, mgmt or it) career. And how do you see the average profile admits? Yocket seems deceptive sometimes, some institutes even don't show their average class profiles. I have seen people with 315+ getting into UIC and some with 290-300 getting into UIC. And which ranking did you consider if any? USNews has listed just couple of colleges for MIS course and when I type qs ranking for specific college it shows 100+ rank like suny is ranked 100+😭 Thanks 🙏
I would suggest reading reviews and talking to GRE coaching consultants to make a decision. You can find the ones closest to you with a quick Google search. Good luck! 🍀
