Thanks for posting this video. It was very helpful to see the backpacker compared to a few other knives, because it showed how sleek the knife really is.
When they’re finally in stock, I’ll be buying one for sure.

I have to agree with you on the Benchmade 200 Puukko and i very very highly recommend that if you love that knife so much to get yourself a 202 Leuku also which is same knife basically but they've ran the 3V a few HRC points higher making it hold an edge incredibly well and the blade is a bit longer which gives you more leverage while bushcrafting, carving feathersticks and such... I own both and have actually convexed the edges on both and it really turned them into an entirely different knife that performs very well...

I have been on the list for a backpacker since they were announced . . . . like the week they were announced. I have no idea when I will get the email telling me it is ready but I really appreciate seeing yours in hand, helps reassure me that I still want the knife. Until then my Winkler Field Knife keeps me happy as my all around go to fixed blade.

I can teak you that it is definitely worth the wait. if you are looking for a knife doing knife things then this is the one. its not a ultra thick wood processing tacticool knife, but a very good knife non the less

Does the backpacker come with that kydex sheath? The only other video I've seen it looks like a cheaper more generic kydex sheath without the CRK logo and no thumb ramp?

@duartduplessis1046 I think since yours is an earlier model it has that kydex sheath the new magnacut models are different. Would you be interested in selling yours? :)

Is the Backpacker any good for feathersticks, or general bushcraft tasks? Or is the hollow grind inferior to the convex or scandis in this case?
A hard use and cut test video would be great! You’d be first to market.

yeah it work good for feather sticks but as far as bush crafting stuff I would not batton with it
