Combat Mission Fortress Italy - Vallebruca

The battle of Sicily is won, the Germans are preparing to evacuate their troops at Messina. In order to gain time, a small force of Panzergrenadiers defends a bottleneck in the mountains of the island. We command a force of Rangers tasked with rooting them out.

so there is no fog of war in this game ,you found the at gun by zooming in and around the germans lines

Not sure what you are referring to, since the video is more than 3 years old now. Generally speaking, only enemies that your own units can see appear on the map, if they are not seen, you can only see sound contact symbols or nothing at all. That being said, since you can fly around the whole map you can sometimes deduce where a shot came from and you can also try to listen to the sounds.
