They'll have an "election", and by golly Trump will win you won't even need a poll. The Supreme Court will uphold all the shenanigans that predetermine the outcome. And if Trump dies, the Republicans will appoint a successor to win the next "election". It'll be a long time before we have anything resembling an actual democracy again.

Here's the deal: If Trump gets through this time, in the future it won't matter what Republican delegates want. As we have seen before: If your party ends democracy for everyone, you lose it too. If you want to be a Republican delegate in 2028 or run in any way shape or form, you better vote for Biden.
As bad as Trump is, I have to vote for him over Biden. Sometime in the next four years, there will be a crisis that requires the President to be able to step up, lead, ,and make decisions. Biden can't do that, and that puts the whole world at risk.
I think most folks in the GOP either are in denial of that, or think they can use it to their own benefit.

I couldn't sleep at night if you didn't have a podcast, and the only person who does not lose their mind on this roller coaster ride. It's very hard for me to not be hyper-vigilant everyday with PTSD, severe anxiety, and a depression that makes me feel hopeless. You make it easier for me to not hate, or overreact, like the people you cant reach. My daily stress is overwhelming, beyond normal worry. Thank God you're reasonable, calm and not reactionary for my sake. You don't know how selfish that makes me feel.
Sounds to me like you have good reasons to be glad he's on UA-cam--and I suspect he would have encouraging words for you if he ran across your comment. It's not selfish to be concerned about your own emotional/psychological well-being.
