I spotted this very bird at Seletar more than three years ago. Out of curiosity, I tried get nearer to get a closer look but it became aggressive and chased me away. So beware, it is highly territorial. Give it the space it needs and that is in my estimate approximately 10 meters.
@@stchew49 hmm because this is not a native species, having it established population here might impact the current native wildlife and biodiversity too… so it really is a tricky situation! :(
@@LittleRedJungle aye, possibility thinking is wonderful and productive, but your unnatural desire with nature beings will probably violate Section 376 of the Singapore Penal Code. Suggest you eliminate this possibility to avoid being violated by the prison denizens who will welcome you with open arms, and often. Go for human birds instead. There are plenty around in all shapes and sizes. And if you are good they can scream louder and weider than your grey crested crane.
well apparently , there are Singaporeans do kept these bird species . maybe through mutual collaboration this bird species may have a chance of conservation rather than being living like dodo.
So besutiful but sad. Can bird of paradise park bring it in navk to their park so that it can be with its own kind? Afterall its an endangered species so it deserves to be conserved
@@LittleRedJungle did you know those birds are most peaceful bird in the world but when they call it means it's lost there family it means there lonley okay that's what it means
Yeah I agree we shouldn’t destroy any more nature in sg! But we don’t know how adding more of the cranes in Singapore might affect the current local biodiversity - in terms of competition for food/resources/habitat! So that solution might be problematic too :(
Hi, I know this video about 5 mth ago.So tragic to that poor 👉crane. Can't jrong bird pk do something about it? . He seems so lonely. He needs a partner of its own species.
aw man, but i think bringing him to jurong bird park will also bring about a whole other issue of keeping a wild animal in captivity... something that this wild bird may not be used to/comfortable with either... it really is a very difficult situation :(

Definitely! Great tips there!! It’s always important to respect the space and boundaries of any wildlife. Thanks for sharing this, Hussain! 🙏
Would it be a good idea to bring in a mate for it?

Gov should put few more of this bird. Don't really like the idea of sg gov destroying mother nature in sg.
