The U.S. Supreme Court judges should NOT overturn the Colorado Supreme Court judges decision because the Supreme Court judges also took an oath to uphold the laws and the Constitution and have an obligation and a responsibility to uphold, enforce and defend it. Hopefully this decision will apply to the MAGA GOP Congress members who were involved in planning the attempted coup.

The notion that the President of the United States is not an "office of the United States" is patently absurd, and anyone suggesting it is not a serious jurjst. Even if for the sake of argument we were to accept that the letter of the law in fact omits the presidency from being subject to its provisions, it would STILL be an absurd and nonsequitur conclusion based on its intention and spirit. Because it would require us to assume that the Federal and state legislatures that ratified it, many of the members of the varying legislatures still dusting off the earth from the battlefields of the Civil War off their coats, intended for the Presidency to be immune from its provisions, and for whomever to hold such office to be able to freely engage in insurrection with impunity. the idea is not even worth arguing, it is so ridiculous just on its face alone.
