The vocalist you see in this video is Damien Boynton. He is the band's official live vocalist. Damien is tasked to perform the live vocal duties because his throat can endure longer tours without getting stressed and he is a way better vocalist live compared to his studio counterparts.
I love Damien but thats a pretty bold statement considering his studio counterpart here is Glen Benton... they're both great vocalists nonetheless
Totally agree what a fuckin beast he is
@@justinnover7724 I mean I can barely tell the difference so I mean, thats gotta say sum
Dave Suzuki is the beast!
What happened to Dave Suzuki, and who is Vital Remain's official singer??
This lineup is fucking incredible I want to see them live
Vital Remains is one of the best dm bands around. Complex songs with incredible brutal/technical overload.
Dave is the studio drummer and guitar player (along with Tony Lazaro). Probably one of the most talented death metal musicians in the world.
Probably the greatest thing to ever come out of Rhode Island.
This drummer is fucking incredible, one of the best out there! He is so fast that it is mind blowing!
I was there, Vital Remains, great band. I want dvd now!!
these guys were in their prime when they had this line up
Moi metalowi mistrzowie !!! Dave i Tony !!! Oby już zawsze grali takie numery !!!!!
they are so fucking clean and precise live its ridiculous.
the touring vocalist was Damien Boyten of Desolation (madras Oregon.. usually at the metalshop)and not this is not BEFORE glen joined this was this last year.
and Dave is still a sick fucking guitarist.
Amazing musicians. The singer is also awesome. And Dave Suzuki is a brilliant technician.
One of my favorite metal songs!
the singer is Damien Boynton from Desolation (Oregon)
the bassist is Brian Hobbie (Internal Bleeding, Catastrophic, Neurotic Decay)
Saw Vital Remains for the 3rd time not too long ago. It is so sad to see how far this band spiraled downward. Tony must have a really caustic personality, but it seems nobody can stay in this band for very long.
Going to see them tonight in Seattle!
Can't wait!
i like the band and the live video, both are awesome
Hmm...Im trying to understand your question.Dave Suzuki(the lead guitarist) does backing vocals on the albums Dechristianized and Icons of Evil. So Glen Benton is not doing the two voices.
Also, many metal bands past and present have had backing vocals,so I dont see how that would constitute as "fakeness".
i saw these guys live in july 07 they opened up for trivium lol. all the trivium fans were like WTF IS GOING ON?!?!?
vital remains = ruthless
They're the best. It was in Poland at Metalmania Festival. I was there.
vital remains remain one of the most brutal, satanic and very most influential bands the world has ever heard of.Indeed they are forever underground, always true to their roots and never letting us all death metal fans down!!forever vital remains!!
I'm going to see these guys on Monday, I CAN'T WAIT!!!
It's truly amazing how they can go through an entire headlining set...their songs are incredibly taxing! Hope a new album comes out soon!!!
I wish they would man I really wish they would😭
Yeahhhh!!! VITAL REMAINS \m/
that is really nice drum playing and guitar playing
insane drummer
ah ok, thx, when i saw the deicide vid with jack owens and dave suzuki i finally checked out VR and thankfully found gems like this.
This song not only embodies what death metal is about but all metal in general, metal is the brotherhood of outcasts that are born to rape the world! When the world brings us down we let it out by either playing a show or headbanging to the band playing! All hail to heavy fuckin metal and all my metal brothers! \m/\m/
Joseph Cantu the most Perfect answer. 6 years and i could read that. Long live for Satan!
benton and boynton are both good the greatest line up ever assembled is with tim yeung.! hailz vital remains!
Can anybody tell me this live drummer's name? I really forgot his name 😅
Just went to Metal Archives and the band's myspace page and Tony is still in the band. He's the only original member in the band.
That drummer is amazing! (:
great track, great band, only just found them
=)
Nice. Esta banda es de lo mejor.
OMFG i luv that song!
VR fucking kick asses!
From what i understand, Glen only records the albums. They have an entirely different lineup for tours and live shows. It's in an interview with Terrorizer magazine #159 Jul '07 page 32
Might not be the most melodic form of music, but this sort of technical death metal appeals to those that appreciate showing off your skills at 11, 100% of the time.
If you can't appreciate the SPORT that is technical death metal, you probably shouldn't be commenting on the video.
It would be like me commenting on how lame MMA is, as it is just people duking it out.
BUT, I can understand it is a complex art form.
Fucking awesome song!!!!!!!!
Is very nice.
Awesome.
that was fucking awsome, thanks for adding
I agree i truly hope Dave doesn't leave but he is as kickass on drums as guitar so as long as he stays with the band its good
Goddamn, Vital Remains fucking kills. The video is fucking brutal too \m/
dave suzuki is a fucking GOD!
nice this band is good
death metal is my fav kind of music
Dave suzuki is a god
He is God
awesowe performance!
thatd be raiseing the standards, not killing it, metal channels gives them a lower bar, a ' good enough ' fail safe, us ripping em off ( noit saying we should ) causes them to desperately work harder to gain more fans willing to buy shit
With Glen Benton, Vital Remains are on their best. But that not matters Thy rule in every way!!
that was a good gig. I've been there
lol...brilliant you are the reason why society is the way it is today...keep on keeping on
Yeah, Nile are sweet! George Kolias is quick as heck!
It could just be this particular song? who knows? we'll find out for sure when the DVD comes out. Buying my copy , too, as soon as i can.
Love this fucking song!
Why does nobody editing live performances know that during solo's, especially insane one's, you show the solo?
I agree with you
cool videos they are from my town
Now i know Glen isnt the orig. singer and he does some albums n shows sparcly. but does dave suzuki play guitar ( studio and live) AND drums (studio) cuz on their website it shows dave rippin it up on the drums. n i want sure if he records all the drums 2?
hell yeah =)
I agree with You.
Que tal tecnica la de estos tios
yeah glen is vital remains, evne tho dave is the guitar, rythem guitar, drums, backin vox, and lyrics.
.... your aboslutly correct...
glens the shit dont get me wrong but hes not the band by any means.
Antonio Donadeo, young italian guy. Plays for Necrotorture/Exhumer/Traitor/Stillness Blade/Undertakers
yeah, I saw Desolation when they were playing with Deicide a couple of years ago.
If i remember right, tony kinda sketches the outlines of the songs. All the riffs, and the basic drum patterns. Then Dave goes in and writes all the leads, harmonies and fills out the drums. They seem to switch up on bass ever since Joe Lewis quit. And of course, there's the revolving door of vocalists. but every vocalist has been bad ass. Especially Anthony G. on the Dechristianize tour. He was awesome. The new vocalist is quite worthy also.
Anthony was Fucking INTENSE. I wish he'd have stayed with VR. Dave told me when i saw them last time that he quit the band and moved to california or something. He said he didnt even know why.
Same here.
So it's Antonio Donadeo ^^
This makes me miss having long hair to windmill.
Brutal death metal 👿🤘
666 likes, Lets keep it that way
these guys are pretty good live
these guys came to town a little over a week ago and i am still trying to get all of the satan off of me :) they ripped our souls to shreds and it was good!
Violento!!
that was realy fucking good show
There's no one like VR that i can think of off hand.
My suggestion is to just listen to it and enjoy it. Personally, i try to distance myself from christianity as much as possible, but there's still some christian bands in my CD collection - Dont care for the lyrics, but the music is great.
Check the death metal band Incubus (Not the pop rock band, lol). both their albums They're really christian, but their riffs, Oh my god, the riffs.
Now their session drummer is Antonio Donadeo. He's a talented guy, you see ,)
@throwfor6 its cuz george fisher didnt record hammer smashed faced it was chris barnes. and i like vital remains WAYYY MORE!!!!! buh CC is good too :)
Realy geat music!
May someone tell me what this line-up is?
Thanks!
VITAL REMAINS IS FUCKIN BADASS 🤘🤘
i want this dvd lol
Yeah Glen Benton is the actual singer of VR, but o that tour Damien Boynton did it..
omfg i know the singer personally he is in a small town metal band called desolation
look then up on myspace im not kidding
the good shit
@wilins777: you should check out nile!!!they play brilliant death metal combined with interesting lyrics about the egyptian mythology...and they have the best death metal drummer i´ve ever seen
This has got to be about the first death metal song I like.
Well curse me, this shit is awesome, even.
Thats you´re opinion. If thats what you think, fine, I respect that.
He sounds good
Thanks! ;)
I thought it was Tim Yeung playing the drums... :(
ah man i got the dvd. i really dont like the singer...but waaay worth it and the extra footage is awesome
FUCK YES
Loads of bands have used backing vocalists some do gang vocals at point just for the effect i dont get why people bash on it it honestly makes no sense
@TheBigdev23 maybe. but i still think vital remains has better stage presentation. george fisher just stands up there this guy gets the audience into it. i agree though the vocals sound kinda off in this vid.
good shit,always has been.
Hope he gets back soon
fuck i want this DVD so bad.
@MrSchuldinerthegreat Benton is only the studio vocalist for these guys.
Damien Boynton is the vocalist...he rules ...it's not any easy to take the vocals on Vital remains things are really complicated and hard...lml
