@thtmotoring Credit where it’s due Sir. 👍🏻 She looks splendid on those wheels too. Must be a struggle to let them go when you’ve put so much time and elbow grease into them and they come up looking so nice.
My Dad had a brand fire new 827 Sterling Coupe as a demonstrator just after they were launched, picked me up in it and I was in love straight away, It was black with grey heated leather, and an absolute flying machine!, remember it like it was yesterday 👌
I have an MGZT 160 base model, according to the `How many are left` site there are none, but my car exists and will be a rarity on the show scene soon. It's in Le Man Green and is a V6 petrol on an 02 reg.
It’s good to see people in the U.K. who are passionate about Rover and MG, keeping the brand alive. Rovers design department was cutting edge but they never stood a chance against the big manufacturers which I never understood why because they had innovative ideas but the management was lousy and they never seemed to have enough money to invest in new models to compete with the competition which meant they had to rely on Honda and BMW to help them out. Such a shame why britain lost its independent car industry. We clearly have talented people in the U.K. but the story is always the same, management mess it up. The Phoenix 4 should hold their heads in shame, pretending to be the cavalry to save Rover but we’re secretly plotting to asset strip it down and sell it all off, back stabbing its loyal workforce which is shameful when the Chinese businessmen stepped in and got the Phoenix 4 drunk to get them to sign on the dotted line and sell Rover and MG off. The Chinese MG knockoff doesn’t look like an MG at all. It might be a good car but the Chinese are just using the brand to fast track their brand in the U.K. and Europe. 🇬🇧
@@lg_believe333 very well said, the British car industry has a sad history of being shafted, dating right back to the 1970s. It gave the cars an unfair reputation so as you say, that’s why it’s key that they are preserved so they can be kept as living pieces of history but also so people can see that they’re much better than people give them credit for.
Rover are pretty rare these days ,Iv had 220gti and 220 gsi now days u just don't see them getting very rare and such a nice car , I'm looking for a rover auto cab 214 , if anyone no,s were there is a good one for sale let me. No plz
A pity you used a terrible swear word… How dare you say… BMW. Met a truck driver delivering petrol up the road. Swore that MAN were better than ERF. OK I have never driven an ERF tractor or a MAN truck, but I do seem to have seen alot of retired ERF at fairgrounds, so I think the mans talking out of his hat. Great video.
The World needs more Allegroman 👍🇬🇧
Smart little 200 that 😎👍🏻
If it were a V6 auto, that 800 would make an absolutely smashing daily banger cruiser 😎👍🏻
