Got a 2020 widebody Scatpack last year. Love it!!! Refreshing to see a adult review. Good you didn't do a burnout. Plenty of videos of how not to drive one!!
Just sold my smoke show Daytona 392. Paid 45k October 2020 , they bought it back for 42k with 5k miles. The market is crazy good for these cars right now, for me it was a no brainer lol I live on the east coast so I don’t get to enjoy it all year round. I ended up purchasing a 4Runner TRD pro instead.
I had sold mine at 10,000 miles and bought a toyota tacoma trd offroad...but the truck had issues and I missed the car so I actually just bought another 2021 Scat Pack 😂
I just got a 2017 sp charger. I am blown away with its performance. The car is nuts its such a beast and is insanely loud in sport mode. Im most impressed with the transmission coming from always having 5 or 6sd stick, im just floored how crazy the transmission is under power and shifts so hard and fast coupled with traction control that lets you slip a lil bit before hooking. Needless to say i fully "get" the whole muscle car thing now. Wish i only knew i was wasting time thinking i liked turbo 4bangers
New sub. I just ordered a 2021 Charger Scatpack last Monday. Great video. I am shocked you didn’t talk about how terrible the stock RSA2s are on the car. Haha. Fist thing I am doing is putting on 275s.
Since it’s a daily driver and I came out of an f-150...I don’t hate the tires. I might feel differently if I was driving it more aggressively on the regular.
@joesomebody I have the same car but widebody. Delete the mid muffler and do 5" tips, you will not regret it. Still tame enough cruising around but really sounds great when you open it up in track or sport mode when the active exhaust is opened. It's like $200.
Well it happened. 🤣 we got a 2019 Scat Pack. It will be delivered next Saturday and I’m so excited. Had a wreck 2 weeks ago and totaled my 2017 charger 😭😭 so we took the opportunity to upgrade. Need to rewatch your video now….
@@joesomebody1986 no way! Lol. I was wondering why you got rid of the one you had. I am absolutely in love with mine. My husband drove it all weekend so today is the first time I’ve gotten it all day. It handles so good. It’s a little loud but not as bad as I thought it would be. Mine has a sunroof which I was able to enjoy yesterday but today it rained all day. I want to learn to shift the gears with the buttons 😂
I’m not right in the head 😂 but my truck was messed up and I didn’t want to make that payment for it since it was not as fun as the scat pack. This charger has more equipment than my other one but still no sun roof! Enjoy your car and be safe!
just bought a 2021 scat last week and ended keeping my sxt charger as a daily but i might daily the scat and sell my sxt if this really is a good daily car
I used yo drive a ford fusion and I like to race but i damage the water pump now i have a scatpack and of course is better but im worry about the water pump ,,, i don’t want to damage again. any advices?
Hey Joe .. I happen to have the same car in the same color .. just a 2020. Mine does have a couple differences.. red caliper covers and the Plus group. Seats are awesome. I've done a couple tweaks to mine but overall still stock. Nice review .. its been a great car.
Congrats on the car. I love my 2019. It's an excellent balance of performance and practicality imo. I agree with you about the exhaust. I changed to 5" Carven black tips and called it a day. It's widely believed that the MDS is a contributing factor with the infamous lifter failure issue that hemis have so I use at least sport mode all the time. Another drawback are the stock tires. I have the dynamics package with the 20x9.5 Hellcat wheels and 275 Pirelli and it still peels them no problem.
@@jak3est there's people all over UA-cam, forums, etc that have had or have worked on lifter failures. Mainly with the 5.7 though. Several people in a Scat Pack Facebook group I'm in have had it. It's not a commonplace issue though.
Well in the standard drive mode, traction control is there to stop tire spin. I drive my car everyday and don't seem to have problems avoiding spin. I've only accidentally "barked" the tires a couple times when I first got it.
I do have a legitimate question, any concerns about longevity? The FCA group hasn’t been known to put out the best vehicles. I know that car probably kicks ass for a few years, But probably not going to be reliable 10 years down the road with 150,000 miles on it. I like those cars though… Any thoughts?
I bought mine with a 5 year 100,000 mile full warranty. We’ll see how I feel about it in a few years and try to determine if it’s something to try to hang on to long term or if it’s problematic
That is awesome, I hope you hold onto it that long so we all know. Was that a big expense? I know the majority of cars come with a three-year 36K or five-year 60,000… Just curious what the cost is, nice review and sweet car!
Nice car, however I woulnt want it to go into 4 cylinder mode. Wonder if there is a tune for that. Mustang GT use the Variable Cam Timing, instead of basically shutting off a bank of cylinders. Otherwise love the sound, and competitive price
Mine has halogen projectors. I think some packages have HID. My fog lights are LED. I don’t love that they don’t match, but I can see fine and haven’t thought much about changing them.
When I was looking for a Scat Pack, I didn't see a widebody at any local dealership. I guess you have to special order them? I actually wasn't looking for a widebody, I just know I didn't see any in stock while I was looking.
I still loved it at 10,000 miles when I sold it. I needed a truck, so I had to let it go. Actually made a profit due to this crazy market! Still my favorite car I’ve ever owned.
I did that with 3 trucks I had, hurt. Whats you plan next?? I test drove one yesterday and thought it was great seats a little tight and suspension real tight. I'm on the fence about it

Good video. Well done. Agreed and I love my 22 scat as a daily!
Love the video. I’m currently overseas and I’m super excited about getting this car in November when I come home. Great job with the video.
Awesome! Thank you!
@dannie curlett you get one
You got enough time... Order one about 2-3 months before you come home and you can get exactly what you want

Any car can be driven daily as long as you have good insurance coverage and can handle the maintenance and the gas cost.
