    learned this method in 3rd grade and it always made so much sense to me.. i was eventually scolded in later grades for using it on occasion instead of whatever way they “wanted us to use”, even tho i’d get the answer right... kind of makes you think doesn’t it 🤔

      Yep, fair point - that's probably how I would do it in real-life. It was just to demonstrate the new method before diving in to decimals.

    I have always found it pretty hard to multiply dezimals in my head, but with this method and the roundoff trick at the end is such a huge breakthrough for me. I thank God i found your video. Thank you so much.

      Thanks Sanay, that's brilliant, glad it helped. Unfortunately I only really do videos for GCSE level so I'm unlikely to ever cover complex numbers as it's not covered at GCSE.

      Thank you. Unfortunately there's no equivalent method for division so you'd need to use something like 'bus stop' method (short division).

      I think that comes down to the individual and the particular question but for me, for most questions I find this the fastest.

      in iGCSE you can use a calculator for both papers. In the normal GCSE there are three papers and one of them is non-calculator.
