learned this method in 3rd grade and it always made so much sense to me.. i was eventually scolded in later grades for using it on occasion instead of whatever way they “wanted us to use”, even tho i’d get the answer right... kind of makes you think doesn’t it 🤔
I have always found it pretty hard to multiply dezimals in my head, but with this method and the roundoff trick at the end is such a huge breakthrough for me. I thank God i found your video. Thank you so much.
i understood something i never understood before.. i appreciate your work .. but do you think you can make a video for simplifying complex numbers ? I will appreciate it a lot
Thanks Sanay, that's brilliant, glad it helped. Unfortunately I only really do videos for GCSE level so I'm unlikely to ever cover complex numbers as it's not covered at GCSE.

Amazing video and explanation!
Thank you!
first one would be a whole lot easier in column method imo
Yep, fair point - that's probably how I would do it in real-life. It was just to demonstrate the new method before diving in to decimals.
this is very helpful thanks man👍
Omg thanks so much this helped so much
new subscriber I hated math until I watched your videos and I'm so excited I've learnt a new trick that helps me multiply in my head!!!

What if its like 3 things multiplying each other. What do I do then?
Pls make a video on decimal point division easy trick!
Awesome video. How do you do this with Division?
Thank you. Unfortunately there's no equivalent method for division so you'd need to use something like 'bus stop' method (short division).
Can we do this for more than 2 numbers
Sir is it same even for 3×3 numbers and thanks sir it is really helpful
Thx sir watching ur vedio from india
Obrigada!
Wonderful method
Thank you sir this method has saved my time in exams.

Thanks for sharing it!
@@MathsKitchen OK SIR
Is there a way to calculate ( 2^8/5 ) , (FYI this was supposed to be calculated without the use of calculator ) ?
Don't think so!
@@MathsKitchen Thanks!!
i love youtube you can find so many smart people
I don’t even know why I’m watching this. I do A-level maths 😂
Thank u it helped me alot
What if you got 3 digit decimals?
This is what i was looking for....
Is this the fastest way to compute decimal multiplication mentally?
I think that comes down to the individual and the particular question but for me, for most questions I find this the fastest.
Amaizing
Thank you - clever technique eh?
Np
And thx for the love heart
could’ve just done grid method for 1st
his voice feels like dumbledore.
I can't work out if this is a good thing or not!
@@MathsKitchen no i didn't mean to hurt you but if someone had given me this compliment i would be very happy.
Thank you! I thought it must be good 😊
@@MathsKitchen thanks for the heart
you should have had STANLEY UNWIN to explain this EASIER
Goodness, my teachers where morons.
First
This is not fast
Umm i’m failing school
But you can use a calculator for GCSE
Non calculator....
in iGCSE you can use a calculator for both papers. In the normal GCSE there are three papers and one of them is non-calculator.
