do people not understand the word "Theory" anymore? all this video is trying to portray is why don't attacks kill humans... IN THE SHOW. honestly too many people saying "ohh well it doesn't kill them because it's not real".... no shit. the title isn't "The Scientific Reason Pokemon Attacks Don't Kill Humans" it's a "Pokemon Theory" series. Meaning hypothetically IN THE SHOW these could be some reasons why attacks don't kill humans... cmon people
+DrJohnpiece The word "Theory," when used in science, means a hell of a lot more of a higher standard than in casual everyday use. In the scientific world, a theory starts with a hypothesis that you test rigorously - trying, in fact, to disprove your hypothesis. In this context, though, "theory" simply means speculation that has some backing and makes some sense. Since it's a fictional show based in a fictional universe, we don't really have much testing to go off of (other than what the show and games allow us to see), and should all just chill the fuck out. lol.
+The Aviansie bro a theory is still a guess no matter where it's from and it's a cartoon dude none of it it's real. You are taking this way too serious
Yh the creators of this show would say so to children who watch it while thinking "this fucking question again gimme a break kid" while giving an answer that makes sense but isnt the truth at all.
Not only are humans pokemon, but they also have evolutions like Pokemon. According to Pokedex references, a human will normally evolve into a ghost type, although a child ghost will evolve into a phantump when it dies in a forest - which is common, so MANY children die. If the human has developed psychic abilities it could evolve into a Kadabra when it dies. It would be nice to see that in the anime though.
Remember in the Sinnoh myths how it said Humans and Pokemon used to dine at the same table and even get married and shit? That was at a time when Humanity was more closely related to the other Pokemon. For whatever reason the rapidly evolved, but in a unique way. Humans are just a species of Pokemon. Only they're so distinguished from the other Pokemon that they consider themselves to be entirely different beings. It's like in the real world. Technically, we as Humans are animals, but when we use the term "animal" we mean other, lesser species, because we're just so distinguished from them. Humans can't use the attacks all other Pokemon can use, however, as it has been seen in the Pokemon universe, particulary often in the anime, Humans are capable of taking Pokemon attacks and living. It seems most Humans are quite endurant to these attacks as well, suggesting that the Humans of the Pokemon universe have considerably high base defense stats. As for their attack, HP, and speed stats, I'd imagine them being... OK. Not particularly good, but not terrible either. However, again, they can't attack. But they are able to survive because they have somehow evolved the unique ability to be able to tame and command other Pokemon. I also speculate that in the past when Humans were more closely related to the other species of Pokemon, they were kind similar to Eevee. In that, Humans developed traits (evolved into elemental beings) based on their environment. So Fire Humans would mate with Fire Humans, Dragon Humans would mate with Dragon Humans, Psychics with Psychics, so on and so forth, creating homogenous groups. Then they somehow evolved into the modern Humans of the Pokemon universe. At this point, their type would have changed too, into a unique type. However, as suggested in this video, a Human's ancestors' typing has an effect on their type preference and ability over a certain type(s). This is why trainers in the world often use Pokemon of single types. The player and a few other exceptional individuals, like their rival, the champion, whoever else, are incredibly gifted prodigies, with an exceptional ability over all types of Pokemon. This also explains why specialists of some types are more common than others, it also explains a type specialization amongst the people in certain areas, if their ancestors have been living in that area for however long it's been since Humans evolved into the way they are today. Like, there seems to be an abundance of Humans who can use Normal types, but only a few who are Dragon tamers. Or maybe it's just a kids game. I don't know. Whatever.
Oh, interesting thought: The "Human" type is most closely related to the Psychic type. This is why trainers with Psychic ancestry not only have dominion over Psychic type Pokemon, but also exhibit some (albeit generally mild) natural Psychic powers.
It happened one morning - a boy with extrasensory powers awoke in bed transformed into Kadabra. This just prooves that there are humans with powers like Pokemon. I remember in Original anime. One man is using Psychic on spoon. Humans are Pokemon just way different Pokemon. Just Like we're animals. Dogs and Lions see us as animals.
i think human's are fighting type evolved from mankey or some shit, look at machoke, it looks alot like humans, plus fighting type moves can mostly be done by normal humans, like seismic toss, karate chop, flying kick etc.
I always had a different theory about why attacks never seem to kill humans [or hell, even kill at all]. It's the Pokeball. Think about it, how many Pokémon can destroy mountains or create powerful storms IN THE WILD, yet never seem to be able to when they're caught? Or why do Pokémon only use 4 moves? Even in the cartoon, they only seem to use 4 moves. More importantly, why do most Pokémon instantly obey whoever catches them? Why? Because of the Pokeball. This little ball does more than catch Pokémon, it indoctrinates them so they obey and WEAKENS them so they can't kill.
Actually this is supported by the Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum games where Team Galactic use the gems of the Lake Trio to create the "Red Chain", an item that is suppose to have the power to capture Dialga/Palkia but not diminish their power.
Haha Pokemon - a fantasy world of ours where kids catches "animals", train them and forces them to fight other kids "animals", or fight against other wild "animals". In many parts of the anime you can see how some kids even train their Pokemon with a whip. Not only that but also: Cubone wears a skull of a dead Pokemon, which is from their mothers skull. In one EARLY ep of Pokemon Cubones mum was beaten up and killed by Team Rocket. Jellicent is a ghost Pokemon who tricks people to swim out with fishes (drowning them). And Yamask is a dead human... a "real ghost" which evolved into Yamask. Yes you heard it right, Yamask is a Pokemon who once was a living human! So look at the Pokedex of more Pokemon's description in games and anime... terrifying. Don't forget that Pokemon eat each other, said in in the anime and games. And people eat them too. So your "nobody dies" does not apply to this show. This theory that humans are Pokemon is actually good, in reality there are scientist that says that people are animals. We are Homo sapiens and were evolved from ancient chimpanzee.
Mew and Mewtwo turned Ash into stone which is basically killing him. Then there is an episode in XYZ I watched where a Chestnaut was protecting his dead trainer's gardening robot. But maybe he somehow transferred him over to his grandson. It was not implied though.
If that's how you want to go about it and apply real life physics to the pokemon series then by all means I won't stop you but we could also apply the same logic to explosions, to being electrocuted, to being burned which don't really seem to hurt Ashe.
UnholyRequiem Well fictional stuff comes from real-life accounts. Other than that, we can't have people making up words and expecting to be clear in a story. Sometimes a mother fucker can survive an explosion nearly unscathed. In fiction, we can control the variables and the frequency of the outcome. Petrified is petrified. Unless they give it a whole new meaning, it can very well be that Ash is "dead as a stone." Yveltas is the pokemon of destruction and the antithesis to Xerneas, the life pokemon. His attack literally turned things to stone. So it stands to reason the antithesis to life, death/destruction has essentially removed the life from the things he attacks and turns them to stone. Petrified. It can't be more clear than that. More often than not, the Japanese actually kill off characters in these shows vs. the American version where they simply disappear. Even guns are edited out. Like Yu-Gi-Oh, the characters didn't die, they went to the "shadow realm". Instead of guns, Pegasus's henchmen were pointing their fingers at Kaiba but you can see clearly a gun would be held. And it's a kids show that's meant to be campy. They're not going to show him getting vaporized or blown apart with guts all over the place. Stop and think about it for a minute, man. Stop giving new meaning to a language we've all gotten to know. Ash is actually dead.
+UnholyRequiem picachu's reaction strongly points to the fact that Ash had indeed died. If it was effect like frozen, picachu would have acted differently because you can unfreeze by smashing or melting the ice.
easy explanation. its a cartoon most people dont die in a cartoon yea maybe like in dc universe or in anime yea people die. but in cartoon thats pretty rare. and doesn't occur often at all.
Dallin Casse I like to think that humans are living fosils and some of the earliest pokemon around, humans are simply too different from common pokemon of current era to get caught by pokeballs. This would also explain why humans have no strong attacks, they were used to early days when there were no strong predators, like most animals of Ediacaran period in real life.
What about capture rates? I mean, no Pokemon is captured 100% of the time; even those with 255/255 catch rates are only caught 1/3 of the time (full health in a Poke Ball). Legendaries have 3/255. What if humans just have a low catch rate?
If you think about it, Humans have evolved, and pokeballs were designed BY humans... so there could easily be a sensor built into them to prevent them from capturing a certain species... This would easily fit with the logic that was presented earlier, since modern technology can't catch humans, but ancient devices that are pre-human evolution can.
Tbh here is my theory: As much as Pokémons doesn't die but just faint, they can't show people being decomposed or bloody because of Pokémons' attack! Why? Coz it's supposed to be a kid show. Hooowever- in the manga, people can die from pokémons, pokémons can melt coz of poison, everyone can die. And I think it's how it's supposed to be. If you re-consider the whole serie, nothing is really possible. That's why I think Ash being in a coma, dreaming all his adventures since he tried to protect Pikachu, is possible. It could explain why he doesn't grow up toward the ages, why Pokémons attack doesn't kill him, why he always win in the end, why he meet and become friends with Legendaries that easily. So what if this cruel world where pokémons and humans can die, was the same world Ash was in before he got attacked? Then he switched into coma and started to dream this all. Doesn't it sound weird to you that ALL pokémons are that wise, even wild? Don't you think it can explain why a few Pokémon are based on IRL object (Bin, chandelier, etc etc)? There are so many unlogic things it pokémon world that can come from a little boy mind. Why pokémons fight (like how they play with their toy) why nobody die, how a few people can always spy them (Team Rocket) how you can know what happens in a another place, why it's always focus on Pikachu and Ash. So what do you think guy?
The digimon champions finally lost a fight and the human world, which was recognizable as such until that point, was merged with the digital world. This merge caused animals like bulls, clams and whales to gain powers and become tauros, shellders and whailords. Many humans remained the same. Some looked human, but were a lot more resilient, smarter or physical. That is why there are super psychics like Sabrina who can control psychic type pokemon and braniacs like Bill who can set up a network of computer/teleportation stations everywhere. We also have karate masters who can crush boulders with their bare hands. And lastly, we have the resilient people who can't really get hurt by anything. Which is why it is said that it's dangerous to venture into the wild, but some very young trainers are allowed to go anyway. Those trainers are not fully human and are recruited for the soul purpose of exploring the new world. They are pitted against each other in order to sharpen their skills so that they may be sent to more dangerous areas like Mewtwo's cave and so on. It is the most well funded program the government has in place, complete with tournaments, rest facilities for trainers and their injured pokemon, a ranking system with badges and even legalized gambling between dueling trainers as an incentive to train more. All this is why despite the pokemon world being around for thousands of years, only recently have they started exploring it. The fear of these ultra powerful animals killing normal humans and the not knowing about the super humans among them were the two main reasons why people remained so isolated for so long. Just a theory.
Nice, but now this gets me thinking on another question... Going off of what was said in this theory and the previously mentioned, What Pokemon Type is a Human? Is it a combination of types (Ghost, Normal, Steel, Fairy, ect), all of the types, or a type we have never seen yet unique to only humans? That could get the gears turning.
2:38 the FEEL the pain , feeling pain and receiving damage are two different things , ashes bones aren't broken by muchamp's attacks because ash is only FEELING the attacks and NOT PHYSICALLY being hit with them
Been watching ur videos for a while now and gotta say that ur theories really shed some light on some weird in the Pokemon universe. Very insightful and I love ur videos. :)
At 6:04 Can you do a theory on Dugtrio? How the hell can it fight in the water without the world knowing what it's bottom half looks like? I know it's a mole pokemon, but in comparison to an Excadrill it doesn't make sense.
Before I watch the video, and I got about to 1:30, Pokemon attacks cannot kill humans, because Ash has been fired on by MULTIPLE Thunder bolts from Pikachu, so has Team Rocket. Also, Ash has been hit by Flamethrowers from Charizard.
People CAN die in cartoons. And if you are saying just the scene of the character dieing,go check out Artemis' death from Young Justice. She gets revived shırtly but the scene is still there. And then the whole Failsafe episode of Young Justice.Terra and Slades death in Teen Titans and so on.Your argument is invalid.
I'm sure there are limits. Pokemon can be killed under sufficient duress. The same must be true of humans. Humans still show fear of certain situations, like being crushed by massive boulders or falling in lava. A regular handgun bullet can't break through a steel plate, but an armor-piercing round can. I think Mew and Mewtwo ARE strong enough to kill humans. They're a lot stronger than Pikachu.
OriginMSD That is of course true. Especially Mew and Mewtwo. Only thing is that Pokemon tend to throw actual physics and logic out of the window most times. Which is perfectly fine, given that its Pokemon. Just know that we will never see a human being actually injured(without shaking off whatever hit him seconds later) because of the age bracket that the show targets. This is also why no theory is an iron clad one because no one in their age group would necessarily care that a taillow survived a hyper beam from a rayquaza so they can afford to leave all those inconsistencies everywhere.
look I was curious, Pikachu tried to revive him and it took pokemon tears. Pokemon tears to revive him from that, all things considered if a pokemon is strong enough all it can do is petrify humans, i was only asking.
Maybe the team Rocket members are too light for the hyper beam and gets blown away from the force instead of the force going through you and destroy you. The iron is connected to the ground and can't get away, which meant it is getting destoyed by that force.
I'm kinda sad to see people actually take this in as complete fact. The title even says: *Pokemon Theory*. Meaning its a guess or idea with evidence to support it. Its not an absolute fact. I mean really, its a kids show. You don't really question stuff until a certain age, and even then you look back and say: "Oh wait, this was an anime! In most animes that are made, everyone is almost indestructible." I mean really, in one movie, Ash tried to punch Mewtwo and got turned to stone. The tears of the Pokemon surrounding him brought him back. TEARS. From being turned into a statue (essentially dead) by the closest thing to a Pokemon god at the time (because this was waaay before Arceus, Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina). It's a tv show, and the show itself is intended for kids. It doesn't have a whole lot of logic to be cited. Sorry for the rant but that's just how it is. ProtoMario, I feel bad for you. Being an uploader of this content must be frustrating. Probably why you put the annoying comment section in the videos! (Which is hilarious btw. Hits the nail right on the head). Keep uploading man! I deeply enjoy the food for thought!
2:02 It's electric shock and just because it made to feel the pain of the Pokémon it not mean Ash it could to have broken bones or anything like that he will only feel pain the same with the rest of the attack. 3:14 and 4:00 Comical effect, and the same for the rest not because Humans are still Pokémon in fact humans on serious situation run for their life when they get attack so humans can be killed by Pokémon.
ALL of the plotholes in Pokemon don't actually have an official explanation and the crators don't actually care about them. So they are all comical relief or tools for the story. But if we think realistically then humans will die easily.
Or maybe they just don't want to feel the pain. But I suppose they can still be killed by pokemon. It IS mentioned that pokemon can be killed (Lavender Town)
ThatOneStranger Not wanting to feel pain is not how our skin and nervoud system work. Your nerves don't give a shit if you want to feel pain or not. If someone is in intense pain from things like breaking your whole leg, then it may stop for some time, but not forever and you still won't be able to use it. Same for Charizard's fire. Your skin WILL get burnt and it will cause many problems.
If humans are a type of Pokemon [I'm not opposing your theory; it makes sense], could it be that humans are just super resilient? Remember in season 1 episode 3 or 4 (when Ash 1st fought Team Rocket) Ash tried to fist fight James and James K.O.'ed him with a flick of his finger (with the result of sending Ash tumbling several feet back into a tree)? Misty then chastise Ash for trying to fist fight instead of using his Pokemon. What I'm getting at: 1). Perhaps the humans are just REALLY durable in Pokemon. 2). Could you look into the reasoning to why fist fighting or direct confrontation is frown upon? 3). If Humans are also a type of Pokemon, then by theory is it possible to cross breed (either by sex or clauses)? You are doing fine keep it rocking.
I don't think you can crossbreed humans with pokemon, simply because it's a) highly likely that humans have evolved completely different reproductive organs (as they don't lay eggs) and b) also highly likely that humans would have a completely different egg group than all the other pokemon, IF it was possible.
Those are good reasons. Allow me to rebuttal: 1). If Humans are Pokemon, then the aspect of cross breeding isn't to far off. Seeing that Pokemon can mate with completely different types [example: Ditto]. Granted these Pokemon have specialties that allow this to be; but these clauses can also be found in our world biology [Plants, insects, rodents, etc.]. 2). The course of reproduction is a question 'cause even though the Pokemon are animals and a large portion are mammal-like, they spawn from eggs (or do they[?]). Remember the tech of Pokemon is whimsical at best and "we" join their world during a tech break threw allowing humans to almost completely control the lives of Pokemon, so what I'm saying is that perhaps in the wild mammal-like Pokemon reproduce threw mammal-like mends as their make-up hints. The only time "we" see the breeding is threw the Poke-Center and other facilities catering to Human conveniences, even the Poke-ball is for Human use. 3). Pokemon is based on the myth of evolution and their "fact" state that "earth" life have the common ancestor of Mew; thus all life evolved from him. The fantasy of evolution claims we have a common ancestor from thus all life came to be. We-humans-are claimed to be from Monkeys (although their own theories changes our ancestry drastically and even our "evolution"). According to the whimsical rules of Pokemon, we could reproduce with monkeys to create which ever have the stronger genes and that spawn will have both our dominant traits [example is when you breed a Pikachu and a Raichu or a Ditto and a whatvever, etc.]. The enhancements of evolution doesn't play a role in Pokemon breeding, so one must think the creator of Pokemon is using the chromosomes method of evolution, if this being the case, then the only thing warranted that matters are the genes (as shown evidence in the breeding, giving that only the traits survive into the gene of the stronger body). 4). Now if Humans are Pokemon, then the only thing separating them from Pokemon are quantity [and/or quality] of chromosomes. Proof to help this is the Pokemon Slowbro. When bitten on the head by a Shellder, it becomes a human level psychic. ProtoMario placed a strong hypothesis stating the reasoning is the poison in slowbros' body. This helps the thought of chromosome difference being the only barrier; since poison can directly effect a beings chromosome count. All in all--this reenforces that humans have the same genes as Pokemon. And given the account that types can breed between evolutions warrants that chromosomes aren't considered (or are extremely pliable to circumstances). If so is the case, then the genes connect one another and build on/up chromosomes around it; thus meaning there's no limit to what can/can't breed as long as it's of its gene pool. So to present the question again, Is it possible for Human/Pokemon hybrids, if Humans are a type (or certain evolution) of Pokemon? Given the mechanics of the game, background, mythos it seem possible. This also can meld into the meta-allegory of the Pokemon creatures. Well, that's a stance. What do you think? Do you have a counter, an add-on, an observation? Anything is accepted.
BlueMageWithSoulEdge While I really agree to the logic behind this and think it could - by theory - be possible to crossbreed without the problems of "incompatible" reproductive organs, there's still the problem of the egg group. I think humans have developed a unique "egg group" over time so that pokemon out of that egg group can't reproduce with humans. The question to answer now would be - Is Ditto still able to breed? In a way, I believe it SHOULD be able to breed with humans as it can breed with any kind of pokemon, ALTHOUGH it's highly likely that this is not the case. I think that either the "egg group" humans are now in have an.. immunity, if that's what you want to call it, to reproduction with a Ditto. Another thing is that Ditto can also NOT reproduce with legendary Pokemon. My personal theory is that these pokemon grew either too "complex" or "strong" to breed and instead live on like immortal beings (atleast in the games, in the anime it seems like breeding legendaries isn't a problem). Maybe the humans had some similar "genetic makeover" in their evolution that would allow them to still be able to reproduce between themselves, but not with "lesser" races. This would make sense to the point that the "mightiest" Pokemon wouldn't fall back to being a little Caterpie. Them being reproductive instead of immortal like legendaries could be a reaction to the fact that humans seem to have lost the ability to fully control their power and defend themselves with attacks other pokemon can easily use. In conclusion, I would say that I don't think it's impossible for a scientist to make a human/pokemon crossbreed/hybrid, maybe there wouldn't even need to be too many changes to bypass that barrier, but I think it can't happen naturally. (And at the end, excuse me for any kind of grammatical or spelling error I probably have done, I just can't do better)
*As long as it's not "Az r teh bestest u's fag lolz meh l33f skillz murda u", it's no biggie. Everyone makes mistakes and the typing (like writing) reflects our speech [meaning it's hard to spot our mistakes 'cause we read how we would say it, instead of what's actually there].* Errk...that's a really good argument. [Lol] *Relating to the "Egg genomes and make-up" I'll leave alone 'cause...well I feel it can support both sides of the argument. It can support your views as a means to separate humans and Pokemon, via the inter-species relations aren't seen to be norm and the humans that are "closely in-tune to their Pokemon ancestry" are seen as weird (even produced to be butts of many a jokes in the Anime and Manga); BUT this can also be natural feature insuring there isn't over population. [Note: I'm against the thought of human over population and just using this as a counter point.] Much like how the female goes into heat to single the beginning of the breeding season, or how the male "attributes" are exaggerated to trigger rut for mating, perhaps the differences of the "Egg genomes and make-up" are there to deter one from another; but the affection keeps them together (liken to Cats and Dogs--the two can't really relate because pheromones; but once a dog enters rut or a cat triggers mating, it is not uncommon for them to attempt at breeding). Guess what I'm saying is that the ovulation of human women is most likely creating a scent or psychological chemical that's deter the cross breeding of Pokemon, likewise the masculine triggering is psychologically engineered to target women. Pokemon in the Anime, Game and Manga have been shown to effectuated by humans; but the humans turn them down (or use this emotion to for their-human-gain).* Allow me to question your reply: Are we assuming that Ditto only copies the physical body or do Ditto copy the DNA of its target? I'm a little loss regarding what is the debating focal point--are you saying [1]Ditto don't have the same genetic make-up; thus causing it to be repelled by the human egg, or [2]Ditto sperm count/strength is to low/weak for a human egg? 1). Indicates that, even with a 9-10in penis, impregnation would be impossible 'cause of genetic differences. If this is so your stance, then why is it possible for Pokemon to develop and showcase human like traits? Slowbros know human speech and display psychic powers off-bat. All domestic and wild Pokemon understand human world-speech; but yet they have to teach/train themselves to use it. Humans can even understand Pokemon [and this maybe mental since the "words" Pokemon are saying are probably animal sounds; but this drastically changes the argument 'cause we then have to figure out the allegorical/metaphorical device {Hyperbol, Parody, or Allusion} of the Pokemon itself]. Just about all Pokemon have a family unit and will even freely adopt one. This seems to spell that perhaps the first Pokemon to develop from Mew are humans and from humans other "lesser" Pokemon came about; but that topic itself is a digress. 2). Indicates that if the human egg is too strong, then given enough time and a lot of sperm, could it overcome the egg barrier much like a man with low/weak sperm. If so then why can psychics reproduce with others in short amount of time? Most psychics have strong similarities to humans. If the problem is the sperm count/strength, then a change in the humans' diet could change this; thus turning the question into whether or not how likely the action of crossbreeding, but what types of human and Pokemon would engage in crossbreeding. *I see the inability to breed Mew to be just a game mechanic to keep the player from having a stable of Mews and raping everyone online.* Addressing the "devolution" topic, the breeding process only keep the strongest trait and the strongest body (by body I mean energy count but that too is a digress). I strongly believe the reason we don't see Machops with wings or Growliths with fins is 'cause the genomes that splice together to fuse Pokemon DNA are actually competing with each other and the strongest mend the string and build chromosomes. With that said, when I say "crossbreeding" I'm not talking about a Pika-girl (although that would be cool) or something like that; but a Pokemon that have human level intelligence (or a human with Pokemon resistance or abilities). Example would be, the only way to get a Raichu with surf is to breed a pikachu with an Pokemon that has the ability. Or to get a Raichu with mach-punch is to have a pikachu breed with a fighter and hope it's a pikachu. It's not a Fighter/pikachu; but either a fighter with some pikachu abilities or a pikachu with fighter abilities. All in all--whether if it will happen naturally is a tempting discussion, if you want to make the opening statement there. If you want to cover any of the digressions, I'm fine by it. You do have a good point and some solid arguments. Sorry about the length; but you did bring up some valid walls.
BlueMageWithSoulEdge I see your points and find most of them valid aswell, although I guess Crossbreeds will never happen in the world of pokemon, simply because the devs won't put it in or mention it. It's probably best to let it rest, as our thoughts won't help find a solution for this problem. It's been nice discussing, anyway!
Woah now... Mewtwo and Mew struck Ash, nearly killing him (petrified, but... just... ok?)... he was resurrected by pokemon tears (probably some lesson in there about love overcoming all, or something...) so... Ash survives off the tears of pokemon. THAT must be how he keeps young! Excuse me... I must do things... and stuff...
I got a theory: Is Sableye Stitch from Lilo and Stitch? If you watch that shitty new Pokemon movie you see that not only does Sableye look like Stitch but he sounds like him. The Hoenn region was introduced around the time the Lilo and Stitch series ended. What if Stitch got a hold of cursed Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald that when put together it mutated and transferred him to another dimension and he bred with Ditto making more now being called Sableye? It may be very Farfech'd but it is a theory I've been thinking up. Made by: me (Elijah M. Cotto)
"this points to one answer: humans are still pokemon" ..... no, its because of the all powerful effects of plot convenience. they were NOT bringing reality into this kids show when they made it in the 90's dude.
I need to point out two details that might not have been brought up. First, the gym battle you mentioned where they feel the pain of the pokemon, since they're only supposed to experience pain (probably an electric shock really) they don't experience the concussive force of the attacks. A bad electric shock can leave a person feeling weak, struggling to move, and give them red burn marks. Second, there is direct proof in the series to prove that (most) pokemon have direct control over the consequences of their powers. Specifically, ponyta's mane doesn't burn anyone it trusts/likes. Since it can control whether a rider gets burnt or not, it's logical to think that mature pokemon can decide exactly how effective their attacks are on humans.
Only see one issue with this theory. Your using the anime as refrence in the manga pokemon where killed. Jesse's Arbok being a great example when Charmeleon sliced it in half using slash. The anime was designed for children so they dumbed it down while the manga people where harmed or even killed by pokemon. But its a good theory not trying to attack you or anything just stating what i know
True story, also damage is type effective Psychic Humans beat Blackbelt humans and their Pokemon, Rock type Pokemon trap Normal People in caves, and Swimmers get dragged to bottom of the ocean.
This is just cartoon for kids basically, so no one is allowed to die. But action needs to happen and we finds it all funny when people are getting structed by lots of shit, without thinking how it would be in real life.
***** Dude I've done that a long time ago. They never air the banned episodes. This is why I say it is a kids show, If it wasn't banned, then I would agree with you. Remember, think first, judge someone later :/
Makes more sense to me that human evolution was parallel with the emergence of Pokémon. They developed unbelievable toughness through natural selection and biological principles that are possible in Pokémon but impossible in the real world.
But look at the Canalave Library in the original games and lore elsewhere... humans predate pokemon and even records of normal animals that later went mostly if not fully extinct when pokemon appeared. So humans can't be pokemon and the anime just dials back the power levels like any other anime. Look at the manga, slashes on a arbok leads to it being decapitated sorta speak. Ever wonder how Team Rocket can be sent so far into the air and never die upon impact or be hospitalized from the fall? Even pokemon get hurt and need to be sent to the pokemon hospital.... a.k.a. Poke Center.... it's just the plot holes in the anime where as the manga doesn't hold back in realism nor do they leave plot holes for comedic effects. I mean sure the pokedexes said humans die and some become pokemon like Yamask.... but I mean a 3D object made by a person like Porygon is a pokemon.... an inanimate object, a doll of some horrific thing becomes alive and sentient as Banette because a little girl threw it away (abandoned) it as she grew to old for it and it became a pokemon.... an artificial soul placed into a robotic body a.k.a. Magearna is a pokemon.... the definition of a Pokemon is very broad yet very unknown... Poke Balls don't work on humans instead it burns them.... doesn't recognize them... pokedexes don't recognize them... nor does lore in the Canalave Library even mention humans were ever pokemon instead they said they once married pokemon.... notice how they specified pokemon not each other... if they were referring to humans as pokemon as well they would've said that humans used to be pokemon and married other pokemon.... but they didnt specify... also speaking about the Manga... pokemon would easily kill trainers if they directed their attacks towards them so the whole pokemon toughness and or holding back is none existent. But theres also a theory... that Earth was once under siege by aliens like how there are aliens from Ultra Space and interdimensional pokemon.... that aliens seeded Earth with pokemon with the intent to conquer the planet but failed because of interference and humans adapted to these more dangerous creatures and eventually tamed them through technology... but that's a wild theory on the internet.
Ok, a spoink can take a hyper beam to the face, but what kills it is when it stops bouncing.... Basically, having an arbok use wrap on it will kill it, even if it's not squeezing tight.
Pokemon can eat each other which means they can be killed. Since humans are Pokemon they can probably be eaten/killed too and vice versa. This must be a hard thing to do since they can both take so much damage from one another. My theory is that Pokemon/humans must first be drained of energy in battle aka "Faint". Once fainted their resistance fades enabling them to be eaten or killed if damaged further to the point of death. This could also explain why pitting Pokemon against each other is not frowned upon because just battling each other is not really life threatening just as long as they're withdrawn from battle after K.O'd. Battle and taking hits is a way of life for pokemon. It's in their nature just like how fishes are born for aquatic life.
Pokemon attacks ARE DEADLY as hell. Being a kid's show they obviosuly won't show so much physical violence. If that shit can bust a wall, it can bust through you -.-
If people are pokemon, how come whenever people touch poke-balls, nothing happens, but when a pokemon touches a poke-ball, it goes inside? I'm confused? I'm sorry if I destroyed your theory, but if you think about it, it makes sense. If people are pokemon, shouldn't they live long lives that last about a hundred years like pokemon do? If so, there wouldn't be any need for hospitals, you can just have someone give you a revive.
Trollgurlgaming I think it might be because humans which are pokemon in the pkmn universe have different dna cells while the pokeball and all upgraded versions of it is produced to only capture the dna cell match
Trollgurlgaming Guess Poké Ball are an invention of humans. This is stated multiple times in the anime and even sometimes in the games. Humans surely would add a device to this invention that assures them not to be caught themselves. It's like traps in real life. You want to get animals with them, possibly even kill them, but you make sure people won't get hurt.
Elliander Eldridge That's obvious. But nevertheless people in the real world make sure not to get trapped in their own animal traps, even though they're anymals themselves. And I guess the same goes for Pokéballs. Let alone that in the Pokémon universe people are related to Pokémon. ^^ I think there is some appliance in such a ball to prevent people from being caught. Just like the different rods don't capture all water Pokémon (or in the real world all fishes).
In regard to team rockets machine that caused the trainer to feel their pokemons damage: it can cause pain equal to the pokemons, but that energy would be focused on the whole body and not concentrated on a single point like the actual attack. Plus in the silver/gold games when Lance has his Dragonite use hyper beam on the man its possible that it wasn't a direct hit but a warning shot at the ground that knocked him back
I thought of something in the pokemon movie lucario the mystery of mew the three regis try to destroy everyone that isnt a pokemon in the tree of life so if humans are pokemon but have evolved than why are the regis attacking them and also lucario saves ash from one of the regis hyper beam but if people can take a hyper beam why would lucario save ash these are all valid questions
1. They were probably instructed this AFTER the fact that humans split from pokemon. 2. would you take a hit from something to help another NOT get hurt from it?
Ill give you a theory on this specific one...it's an Anime targeting kids...what would it look like if their skin just burns off hahah (adults watch pokemon too..correction)
Consider this, In the comic book they sliced a arbok in half completely, like very graphically. also there was a zombie Psyduck that looked less than kid friendly. So I'm not buying the targeting kids thing.
This comment will be brief as it's self explanatory. Gloom's PokeDex entry in Pokemon Crystal. "The smell from its drool-like syrup and the pollen on its petals is so bad, it may make opponents faint." As well as our old friend Bulbapedia. " Both this nectar and the flower on Gloom's head release a foul odor strong enough to induce fainting in humans over a mile away." So humans must fall under some form of evolution to Pokemon.
This theory actually reminds me of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, since the human (the player) turns into a pokemon. This could mean instead of "turning" into a pokemon, the player takes its original form, which is a pokemon.
But Proto how come all nurse joys look the same. But Proto is the creepy pasts true. But Proto why hasn't Arceus noticed your out yet and what will he do if he finds out
yup, Anime and Cartoons are one in the same. They are both Animated film and television shows meant for the most part to a younger audience. Anime is just the Japanese art style of their cartoons
they still have large differences and should not mistaken for another ----- Anime is most watch by teenagers and adults yeah they have anime that is made for children that looks like cartoon
Exactly, it's overthinking. The whole blasting off thing doesn't make any sense by real physics, it's simply a pun on the name Rocket. All these is simply artistic license in fiction
+juan quntos well its not because it is a theory and we can't visit the pokemon universe and if it was over thinking well then saying that because there is water on another planet there might be living creatures on it is overthinking. And it is a theory not a f****** documentary
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Arceus is NOT the GOD of POKEMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ONLY IN SHINNOH LEGEND IS HE A GOD. TECHNICALLY EVERY REGION CONSIDERS THEIR LEGENDARIES AS GODS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MEW WAS THE FIRST. PERIOD.
Only Shinnoh Legend says Arceus is a God. However world wide scientific EVIDENCE says Mew is the first pokemon. Ergo Arceus cannot have been first can be a God unless Mew is also a God.
genemaxwell4 Actually it makes even more sense that they knew about mew being the first pokemon then Arceus. Think about it, God created Adam and Eve right? but they made humans, but God is still considered God. Its just physically, Adam and Eve, are documented a the progenitors. P.S. Lets not get into a religious debate about this, I'm just making a point!
With the pain thing, remember that pain is not damage. One can, in good health, survive any amount of pain, whereas the damage normally required to cause such pain would typically kill you fast enough that you wouldn't feel it for more than a fraction of a second.
Wait... that actually explains a lot. Humans being pokemon is what allows Ash and other characters to lift ridiculous weights and so on/so forth. Also poses a fair reason as to why the explanation for mega evolution/Ash's special Greninja form works somewhat- pokemon have synergy with each other, and so it makes sense that humans do if they themselves are pokemon as well. I REALLY like this theory.
maybe human's are resisted to pokemon's energy but if a pokemon focuses on killing someone they can charizard and pikachu weren't trying to kill ash so their attacks wouldn't be life threatening.
Well, three answers come to mind immediately, The first answer is, Pokemon can control their own abilities to prevent any major damage befalling humans and/or Pokemon. For example, look at EP033 when Ash attempts to mount Ponyta for the race. - Charizard also obviously controls his own fire attacks as to not incinerate Ash and Muk has a self-defense mechanism that it actively controls to prevent harmful bacteria and diseases from making contact with other species. The other answer could be the Pokeball itself. The Pokemon League is active in trying to prevent deaths of humans and Pokemon and it would be no surprise if the answer lies in the technology of the Pokeball. I definitely do not know if there's something going on in the ball, but if there is, it would be suppressing a Pokemons instinct to perform lethal attacks or rewiring a Pokemons mind to prevent a Pokemon from performing lethal attacks.. Those are just two guesses among many possibilities.. No one actually knows what the tech is inside of a Pokeball other than the obvious functions, shrink, expand, capture, storage, summon, release. So.. What if the Pokeball actually does have non-disclosed functions created by scientists and researchers and approved and funded by the Pokemon League? --- Of course the 3rd answer is, Pokemon is a show meant for Japanese humor and America has come close to butchering the series on multiple occasions.. - Sailor Moon was not so lucky.
Interesting theory...but in the first movie's pre-movie (Mewtwo's origins) it was revealed that Pokémon have a stronger "life force" than humans (That's why they can be cloned where humans can't). I'm not sure if that means anything towards this theory, but I thought it'd be helpful info.
Note; Child (Bonnie in Pokémon XY) hit in the face by hyper beam that smashed through concrete and steel, and is fine, older brother that fails to run 15 feet; completely fine. No injuries whatsoever. Bonnie falls onto grass, gets a cut.
Maybe when all humans were killed off by the "Great Storm" and revived by the Pokemon tears (as referenced in the first Pokemon movie),the tears caused some form of genetic mutation that will continue for all generations of people in the Pokemon universe.
If you covered that most trainers are of the types that they were before, then wouldnt that mean that they would take more of a beating if they got struck by their type's weakness?
3:33 Team Rocket should be kept out of all conversations like this, as they are immortal. :3 Also, it's a cartoon. Stupidity and unlogic rule as not to frighten children with scenes of charred corpses and bloody offal splattering the walls. If you read the manga, it absolutely has people getting killed by pokemon, not least of which Lance, when he was struck by Pika's Thunderbolt, I believe.
This theory is easy to disprove with Pokemon Black & White part with N arc. In it there was big plot where Team Plasma experiment with mind control of Pokemon, and that was pretty effective thing. We find out two things: Humans were unaffected by EM waves in opposition to all Pokemon (counting Team Rocket Meowth), and EM waves strictly change Pokemon in aggressive to humans what suggest that it was something more primal. This prove that humans aren't Pokemon, and that Pokemon's weren't human friends on the beginning, and symbiosis were created with time (alien invasion maybe? Only Giygas know..).
Okay this will might be long but this theory: people are pokémon can be true, meaning pokémon names are coming from words like Magicarp= Magic + Carp and the same way Ash's name is built up. Little did you notice this: His name is Ash Ketchum well let's see Luvdisc. The word 'love' is spelt like 'luv' and in Ash's name it should be Ash Catch Them but it's reduced to a name and it is Ask Ketchum. SO Ash's name is being built up on thze same way all the pokémons' names are, it can be true people are pokémon too.
Kind of hard to turn fantasy into a scientific explanation you know , but you still did a good job and it all make sense which is why your good at it ! Keep it up ^^
do people not understand the word "Theory" anymore? all this video is trying to portray is why don't attacks kill humans... IN THE SHOW. honestly too many people saying "ohh well it doesn't kill them because it's not real".... no shit. the title isn't "The Scientific Reason Pokemon Attacks Don't Kill Humans" it's a "Pokemon Theory" series. Meaning hypothetically IN THE SHOW these could be some reasons why attacks don't kill humans... cmon people
Exactly, finally someone who gets it. These naysayers... jeeze.
no...this is a pokemon Q and A
+DrJohnpiece The word "Theory," when used in science, means a hell of a lot more of a higher standard than in casual everyday use.
+DrJohnpiece maybe pokemon dont kill anyone in the show because pokemon is also for kids and they dont just straight up kill characters in pokemon.
its a children's show you cant kill people
GRAVITY FALLS
The creators did try make sense out of it by saying that humans in this universe are way more resistant than ours.
well now that makes it perfectly sound...
Yh the creators of this show would say so to children who watch it while thinking "this fucking question again gimme a break kid" while giving an answer that makes sense but isnt the truth at all.
but you can kill Pokemom .....I hate this guys like in Origins Team Rocket killed a Pokemon
BUT PROTO!! Since Arceus created pokemon and humans (I think) maybe he gave them a resistance to pokemon to protect them.
I fucking like that. I'll buy it! :D
GiggityUrSelf I would of thought normal
It happened one morning - a boy with extrasensory powers awoke in bed transformed into Kadabra.
This just prooves that there are humans with powers like Pokemon. I remember in Original anime. One man is using Psychic on spoon.
Humans are Pokemon just way different Pokemon. Just Like we're animals. Dogs and Lions see us as animals.
i think human's are fighting type evolved from mankey or some shit, look at machoke, it looks alot like humans, plus fighting type moves can mostly be done by normal humans, like seismic toss, karate chop, flying kick etc.
This is actually a very plausible theory, cool insight bro
Copy and past this and email this to proto presonally becase this blew my mind
Great theory. That Is all.
23madberty no its more than that
Actually this is supported by the Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum games where Team Galactic use the gems of the Lake Trio to create the "Red Chain", an item that is suppose to have the power to capture Dialga/Palkia but not diminish their power.
Then why can't wild pokemon kill humans or even other pokemon either?
they survive because it's a kids show and nobody dies
Haha Pokemon - a fantasy world of ours where kids catches "animals", train them and forces them to fight other kids "animals", or fight against other wild "animals". In many parts of the anime you can see how some kids even train their Pokemon with a whip.
Not only that but also:
Cubone wears a skull of a dead Pokemon, which is from their mothers skull.
We are Homo sapiens and were evolved from ancient chimpanzee.
then why is there a cementary in red and blue, is it there for decoration, if yes why?
cept that magikarp ash ate in season 1
thank you this guy makes me worry about life
Nobody ???? Pokemon Origins Team Rocket KILLED a Pokemon
Mew and Mewtwo turned Ash into stone which is basically killing him.
Then there is an episode in XYZ I watched where a Chestnaut was protecting his dead trainer's gardening robot. But maybe he somehow transferred him over to his grandson. It was not implied though.
They petrified him, didn't kill him.
If that's how you want to go about it and apply real life physics to the pokemon series then by all means I won't stop you but we could also apply the same logic to explosions, to being electrocuted, to being burned which don't really seem to hurt Ashe.
UnholyRequiem
Well fictional stuff comes from real-life accounts.
Define fossil - The petrified remains of a animal of plant. Petrified=converted/ scared
+UnholyRequiem picachu's reaction strongly points to the fact that Ash had indeed died. If it was effect like frozen, picachu would have acted differently because you can unfreeze by smashing or melting the ice.
Lol I have always wanted to see a human fight a pokemon
Wow. I'm always amazed by your theories, good video!
Sheldon Jones Thanks!
+Cambell Smith 😂😂😂😂
how dumb are you. we can run
easy explanation. its a cartoon most people dont die in a cartoon yea maybe like in dc universe or in anime yea people die. but in cartoon thats pretty rare. and doesn't occur often at all.
+MLG 420 pokemon isn't a cartoon its an anime for kids
This destroys the "Humans are Pokemon" theory:
Jesse had a Pokeball thrown at her and WASN'T CAPTURED.
The end.
Perhaps poke balls can only catch pokemon because they are programed to not catch human DNA? I dunno, I've got nothing.
BUT PROTO WHAT ABOUT THE 1st MOVIE WHEN ASH GETS ATACKED BY MEWTWO!?
Yeah , but as they said, pokemon's tears give life, and thats what ressurected Ash
Still atacked
or because if a child was splattered across the floor by a hyper beam, the show would be taken off the air
"Butt since he got banished by Arceus too, we're homies." Oh I was dying there XD
Tbh here is my theory:
As much as Pokémons doesn't die but just faint, they can't show people being decomposed or bloody because of Pokémons' attack!
What about mimikyu? In the Pokedex someone tried to look under their cloth and died.
Just a theory.
digimon isn't pokemon. gtfo.
steath mode gaming
They are now. You gtfo
Robert Vasquez pokemon is a franchise.
Digimon is a different franchise.
steath mode gaming
I know. It's just theory and no one said it had to be from one franchise only. Just breath and relax.
+ThatOneGuy I like your theory more than the videos.
That could get the gears turning.
humans are the assholes types, maybe a new kind of asshole energy for the next pokemon card game?
I want to say that when ash battled brok he won because pikachu's Lightning set off the water Sprinklers.
At 6:04
Can you do a theory on Dugtrio? How the hell can it fight in the water without the world knowing what it's bottom half looks like? I know it's a mole pokemon, but in comparison to an Excadrill it doesn't make sense.
Pokemon X and Y > Pokedex > Dugtrio / Diglett > move around it > it's flat.
How could a Fire Pokemon fight underwater?
But proto, I think you're really entertaining. C'mon dude. Make the theory please? :(
OR MAYBE, its a show for kids so they can't die or lose skin, or break bones, because that would be to bad for the show.
I would also add the fact that it's all a piece of imagination, so there's absolutely no need to be realistic.
Yami Marik but then proto wouldn't have anything to do now would he? you are right though
Or...maybe...just maybe...they don't die because it's a fucking kids show.
I had been wondering about this for a while now.
Thanks for the Theory! It It makes perfect sense(IMO)! :)
Before I watch the video, and I got about to 1:30, Pokemon attacks cannot kill humans, because Ash has been fired on by MULTIPLE Thunder bolts from Pikachu, so has Team Rocket. Also, Ash has been hit by Flamethrowers from Charizard.
I have a better answer. It's a cartoon.
its a theory for the pokemon universe you ignoramus
Man, I didn't realize this whole time. I was certain Pokemon was a reality TV show. Thank god we have you.
Radon7
I like to inform as much people as possible.
+Radon7 well apparently the poster of this video had no idea or else the video wouldn't be here.
So.... How does that work when Mew and Mewtwo killed Ash?
They didn't. They petrified him.
Echo Trowers
What will happen if Pokeballs didn't exist?
Pokeballs can fit in your pocket. Pokemon means Poket Monsters.
Yeah, it's also stated that there was a time not too far back when Pokeballs hadn't been made, yet the Pokemon where always called 'Pokemon'?
Actually, in the Arceus movie when they went back in time the people called the pokemon mystical creatures.
Oh! Right, of course! I remember now...it's been a few years....thank you!
The only reason Pikachu blew the Pokemon Center up is because Koffing's gas interacted with the electricity.
I deeply enjoy the food for thought!
this man has no life
Hm?
Courier the guy who made this video
Oh he has a life. It's called making videos on UA-cam. You actually can get paid a lo for it
ik know but he musta done a helluva a lotta thinking on pokemon
Here's a thought... it's a kid cartoon? Doubt parents want their kids to watch Pokemon when Ash is getting ripped to shreds with Razor leaf.
ThatOneStranger
Not wanting to feel pain is not how our skin and nervoud system work. Your nerves don't give a shit if you want to feel pain or not. If someone is in intense pain from things like breaking your whole leg, then it may stop for some time, but not forever and you still won't be able to use it. Same for Charizard's fire. Your skin WILL get burnt and it will cause many problems.
Momchil Momchilov ... You are a special kind of stupid aren't you? Or did you just not read what I wrote?
ThatOneStranger
Sorry! I didn't understand what you tried to say the first time. XD
I really hate it when I act like a complete idiot.
Damn this video has been in my watch later for 6 years
I like the videos you make, and the best parts are when you ( ProtoMario ) always go like: " BUT Proto..."
What I'm getting at:
I don't think you can crossbreed humans with pokemon, simply because it's
a) highly likely that humans have evolved completely different reproductive organs (as they don't lay eggs)
and b) also highly likely that humans would have a completely different egg group than all the other pokemon, IF it was possible.
Those are good reasons. Allow me to rebuttal:
Everyone makes mistakes and the typing (like writing) reflects our speech [meaning it's hard to spot our mistakes 'cause we read how we would say it, instead of what's actually there].*
Errk...that's a really good argument. [Lol]
*Relating to the "Egg genomes and make-up" I'll leave alone 'cause...well I feel it can support both sides of the argument.
[Note: I'm against the thought of human over population and just using this as a counter point.]
Much like how the female goes into heat to single the beginning of the breeding season, or how the male "attributes" are exaggerated to trigger rut for mating, perhaps the differences of the "Egg genomes and make-up" are there to deter one from another; but the affection keeps them together (liken to Cats and Dogs--the two can't really relate because pheromones; but once a dog enters rut or a cat triggers mating, it is not uncommon for them to attempt at breeding). Guess what I'm saying is that the ovulation of human women is most likely creating a scent or psychological chemical that's deter the cross breeding of Pokemon, likewise the masculine triggering is psychologically engineered to target women. Pokemon in the Anime, Game and Manga have been shown to effectuated by humans; but the humans turn them down (or use this emotion to for their-human-gain).*
Allow me to question your reply: Are we assuming that Ditto only copies the physical body or do Ditto copy the DNA of its target?
*I see the inability to breed Mew to be just a game mechanic to keep the player from having a stable of Mews and raping everyone online.*
Addressing the "devolution" topic, the breeding process only keep the strongest trait and the strongest body (by body I mean energy count but that too is a digress).
Theory, can humans understand pokemon language?
Well guess what revives are made of..
We know what you mean :D *fap fap fap*
yogscaster Myers
Well that's one way to get pokemon to cry!
You sound 100% just like my friend Mark from Jersey. Mark? Is that you dude? Been watching for a while now. Love these vids.
lol
Just imagine if Ash felt the pain of the dead Growlithe in Lavender Town.
I got a theory:
Is Sableye Stitch from Lilo and Stitch?
If you watch that shitty new Pokemon movie you see that not only does Sableye look like Stitch but he sounds like him. The Hoenn region was introduced around the time the Lilo and Stitch series ended. What if Stitch got a hold of cursed Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald that when put together it mutated and transferred him to another dimension and he bred with Ditto making more now being called Sableye? It may be very Farfech'd but it is a theory I've been thinking up.
Made by: me (Elijah M. Cotto)
pun pun pun pun pun
Stitch is my fave Disney character, Sableye is my fave Pokemon.
PyroManiac what
Budder King Nemz You said Farfech'd and Farfech'd is a pokemon
Sounds solid
human boy turned into abra. . . yay
"this points to one answer: humans are still pokemon" ..... no, its because of the all powerful effects of plot convenience. they were NOT bringing reality into this kids show when they made it in the 90's dude.
But that`s easy answer, and what fun and challenge will it bring? none. Also there exsist Real life explanation and in world explanation.
Why don't Pokemon bleed? For example a Pokemon creates a giant rock and throws it at another Pokemon. It doesn't bleed.
BUTTT PROTO MAYBE HUMANS CONTAIN SOME POKEMON ATTACK IMMUNE GENE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
***** No shit :P
***** Dude I've done that a long time ago. They never air the banned episodes. This is why I say it is a kids show, If it wasn't banned, then I would agree with you.
Remember, think first, judge someone later :/
That's actually the theory that makes most sense to me! nice one proto!
But theres also a theory... that Earth was once under siege by aliens like how there are aliens from Ultra Space and interdimensional pokemon.... that aliens seeded Earth with pokemon with the intent to conquer the planet but failed because of interference and humans adapted to these more dangerous creatures and eventually tamed them through technology... but that's a wild theory on the internet.
what if a trainer mega evolved
+Anthony Garcia Hulk. That is all.
Trump
What if hulk mega evolved, oh wait, he would be chuck norris
We are pokemon type Human. All attacks agains Human type are ineffective because this type is immune to all others. LOL
BUTT proto! what about Blue's Ratticate!?
You haves lots of great videos! I'm subscribing.
Ok, a spoink can take a hyper beam to the face, but what kills it is when it stops bouncing....
Basically, having an arbok use wrap on it will kill it, even if it's not squeezing tight.
It's a damn cartoon! Humans aren't hurt because it's plot purpose. It doesn't have to make sense because the writers want it to be that way.
+Red Bolt Anime... Its an anime
if people are pokemon then can you catch people??
Go Erika use flash !!!!!!! XD go whitney use fake tears attack and use your miltank to rollout
Go Misty, use attract on Ash! Then use double-slap on Serena.
We already tried this. Ash threw a Pokeball at Jesse, and it didn't work.
Lydia Xavier genwunner
Gogito Also threw a Poke'ball at Iris so theory of humans being former pkmn debunked.
Lol how about this..... they don't want the characters to die because it is a child's show
Not as fun. Derp.
Pokeballs can contain so much data. A human is much more complex
NoAllahNoGod Not to mention the fact that in this world humans are animals ;)
Elliander Eldridge That's obvious. But nevertheless people in the real world make sure not to get trapped in their own animal traps, even though they're anymals themselves.
And I guess the same goes for Pokéballs. Let alone that in the Pokémon universe people are related to Pokémon. ^^ I think there is some appliance in such a ball to prevent people from being caught. Just like the different rods don't capture all water Pokémon (or in the real world all fishes).
it's a cartoon...that's why
cuz its an anime for kids. death is frowned upon
*video done*
In regard to team rockets machine that caused the trainer to feel their pokemons damage: it can cause pain equal to the pokemons, but that energy would be focused on the whole body and not concentrated on a single point like the actual attack. Plus in the silver/gold games when Lance has his Dragonite use hyper beam on the man its possible that it wasn't a direct hit but a warning shot at the ground that knocked him back
The exciting background music at one part made me feel scared together with proto's serious tone
Maybe because idk they don't WANT TO SHOW DEATH TO CHILDREN?!?
Ill give you a theory on this specific one...it's an Anime targeting kids...what would it look like if their skin just burns off hahah
(adults watch pokemon too..correction)
GT did this 1 year b4 proto did
Consider this, In the comic book they sliced a arbok in half completely, like very graphically. also there was a zombie Psyduck that looked less than kid friendly. So I'm not buying the targeting kids thing.
haha
+Sorry I'm Bored Videos manga =/= anime
+Sorry I'm Bored Videos
{Like Nostalgia Critic.} You know, for kids!
This comment will be brief as it's self explanatory.
Gloom's PokeDex entry in Pokemon Crystal.
"The smell from its drool-like syrup and the pollen on its petals is so bad, it may make opponents faint."
As well as our old friend Bulbapedia.
" Both this nectar and the flower on Gloom's head release a foul odor strong enough to induce fainting in humans over a mile away."
So humans must fall under some form of evolution to Pokemon.
But Proto why hasn't Arceus noticed your out yet and what will he do if he finds out
BUUUTTT PROTOOOOOO!
BUT PROTO I WAS ALSO BANISHED TO THE DESTORTION WORLD. Lets be homies ;]
I made arceus faint you can get out
I used a mega magikarp
Where did AZ's Pokemon go
LOL away!
LOL I know but I wanna know where that flabebe went for all those years
With Arceus.
:) COOL
This click bait is so bad... Pokemon moves do kill humans... ash died to mewtwo and mew and was revived by poketears.
how is it clickbait
+Sound Extracts because a lot of people are dumb and don't know the differences of things.
he was granted immortality then jk
I have a better question, why didn't wobbofett use mirror move on garchomps hyper beam? Wouldn't it have saved them and severely damaged garchomp?
I have a good theory!
In red/blue/yellow, who was the champion before your rival became the champion?
Lance. He told you that in a game.
Im hommies with giratina too!
mabye its beacuse people evolved into speices of pokemon
im stupid i posted this at 3:00 ish
dude.. its a cartoon.. wtf are u talkin about
it's an anime not cartoon and he is talking about a theory
Animes are cartoons.
nope
yup, Anime and Cartoons are one in the same. They are both Animated film and television shows meant for the most part to a younger audience. Anime is just the Japanese art style of their cartoons
they still have large differences and should not mistaken for another ----- Anime is most watch by teenagers and adults yeah they have anime that is made for children that looks like cartoon
He FEELS the same thing - that doesn't mean the physical effects are the same.
Pikachu has a glitch where his level starts over remember you said that thats how his electric didnt do that much damage
here is the real answer. kids show wont kill people thats why! LOL
Exactly, it's overthinking.
The whole blasting off thing doesn't make any sense by real physics, it's simply a pun on the name Rocket.
All these is simply artistic license in fiction
+alejandro Dighiero in Minions they killed a few hundred people
+juan quntos well its not because it is a theory and we can't visit the pokemon universe and if it was over thinking well then saying that because there is water on another planet there might be living creatures on it is overthinking.
PERIOD.
Though, Mew's never been considered a god. Only believed to be an ancestor of all Pokémon.
no they never said any other pokemon was god
Mew is just the ancestor of all normal pokemon
Only Shinnoh Legend says Arceus is a God. However world wide scientific EVIDENCE says Mew is the first pokemon. Ergo Arceus cannot have been first can be a God unless Mew is also a God.
genemaxwell4
Actually it makes even more sense that they knew about mew being the first pokemon then Arceus.
Makes sense to me. Maybe their high resistance no matter the attack is the sacrifice made for losing the ability to DO said attacks.
Wait... that actually explains a lot.
If humans are pokemon what would their stats be like?
maybe human's are resisted to pokemon's energy but if a pokemon focuses on killing someone they can charizard and pikachu weren't trying to kill ash so their attacks wouldn't be life threatening.
Well, three answers come to mind immediately,
The first answer is, Pokemon can control their own abilities to prevent any major damage befalling humans and/or Pokemon.
---
Of course the 3rd answer is, Pokemon is a show meant for Japanese humor and America has come close to butchering the series on multiple occasions.. - Sailor Moon was not so lucky.
Interesting theory...but in the first movie's pre-movie (Mewtwo's origins) it was revealed that Pokémon have a stronger "life force" than humans (That's why they can be cloned where humans can't).
I'm not sure if that means anything towards this theory, but I thought it'd be helpful info.
so, as a pokemon, is a human's first word "human", or is it his name?
It's possible that humans unconsciously use a form of the move protect all the time.
Awesome theory, as always!
2:29 Why is Rhydon suffering to Pikachus thunderbolt when hes ground?
