Alright this is seriously impressive. I like the touch you added with the lighting bolt near the beginning (the vibrations). The choice of cutscenes and their transitions were very fitting. I didn't realize the original introduction lacked such views toward sections of the game, until I watched this. The heart of the world exploding was a nice innovation as well. Not to mention the camera movements during cutscenes, the overall texture and rendering quality. The characters' models were nailed perfectly. All of this is eye-candy, nice work.

Reminds me of the work done by the talented UA-camr Project Dream, they're currently remaking Banjo & Kazooie levels with modern fidelity, but preserving the original polygonal shapes of all models and environments. Invokes a total "this is how my brain saw this when it released" feeling, it's incredible!! THIS TRAILER CONCEPT YOU'VE MADE IS AMAZING!! People like you guys really oughta collaberate sometime, the things you'd set in motion could potentially be insane :)

I appreciate that the jagged geometry aesthetic still remains for the original - But that you've enhanced the textures, bump maps, and dynamic lighting, and all in high resolution! This is an excellent example of how a remake could be done!

I'm currently planning a remake for the Dreams Ps4 game, especially focused on enhancing the ambient feel of the original (because I am learning to be an ambient artist) And seriously, you totally nailed that feeling, it looks so beautiful while maintaining the same art style and vibes (I really don't understand why some fan videos try to make it more realistic, thinking that makes it better). Fantastic job.

Interesting. Rayman 2 was a game that I studied as a child, playing through it countless times, discovering glitches on my own, playing with the physics, basically knowing each and every level in the back of my head from start to finish. I have to say that you managed to make it look modern but also old. The textures are more detailed yet it seems as if the polygon count is really low for a modern experience. I'm sure lighting effects have to do a lot with why this game looks both modern and old 1999 style. Like it!
Making some of the models with more geometry made it look less cartoony and less like from a Rayman 2 game, thats why in some places I left harder edges

Lums, as I'm sure you know, are simply energies with consciousness. Your mouth fills with an odd buzzing sensation, which travels outwards. Resonating in your head, down your throat, and permeates the rest of your body. It left me feeling contented in a way I cannot put into words. But was very much an "if color had taste" experience. I would simplify this by saying, it was tangy and sweet, but in a different form. Think a sensation rather than any tangible taste. Notably, since I happen to run on an advanced form of electricity, the taste for me would be different I'm sure, if an organic attempted to eat one by comparison. I have often wondered... I hope this answers your question, in depth.

@@TheMrLeoniasty If you search on the RayWiki "The Heart of The World", you will find a picture of the pirates destroying the heart, with the description i just gave you (although i don't know any other picture of the pirates firing a canon so maybe it's the same 😅) Also i don't know if it was intentional from you, but it is often speculated that the 'great protoon' from rayman 1 is actually the heart of the world pre-destruction, very similar in apparence to the glass orb you made (just a lil more purple but yellow lums are yellow so it's normal that you made it yellow) Also, your interview was so great ! I learnt tons of things watching it. Thank you very much for your time ! ^^/
