Bodhgaya is one of the most important pilgrimage sites, where the Lord Buddha aatained enlightment beneath a sacred Bodhi Tree. Bodhgaya is situated in the Gaya District in the indian state of Bihar.
Every year, Buddhist pilgrims and tourists from around the world come at this sacred place to worship and see the deep root of bodhist religion and Culture.
There are lots of religious site relating to Lord Buddha in Bodhgaya.
1. world famous and UNESCO world heritage site Maha bodhi Temple. Behind the Mahabodhi temple there is a charismatic place where Lord Budha got real knowledge and great enlightenment this is Peepal tree where it is called Bodhi tree.You may say this is the place where siddharth transformed into Buddha.
2. Muchlind sarovor- It is in the campous of the Mahabodhi Temple where Lord Budha done Meditation continuously six weeks after enlightenment.
3. Budhist Monastery- In Bodhgaya you can see the beautiful and grand monasteries of all Buddhist countries for example Chinese , thailand, Bangladesh etc monasteries.
4. Bodhgaya Market - it is fomous among tourists and pilgrims because shopkeepers know different languages spoken in Buddhist countries. It is also famous for their qualities.
5. 80 feet Buddha- great statue of lord Buddha and a must visit place in Bodhgaya.
6 White Buddha Temple- famous for its mesmerising architecture of white beautiful Buddha.
7. Reclining Buddha- it is the largest reclining Buddha statue.
8- Sujata gadh 9 Sujata temple and 10 Dungeswari cave - where Lord Buddha did kathor tapasya with food and water continuously for six years before enlightenment.
