    To my ear, this instantly sounds like the most realistic trumpet on the market if you're going for a solo in, say, a John Williams styled theme. Great sound.

    It's hard for me to get excited about any Brass sample libraries nowadays, but this sounded incredibly realistic, hopefully it will be expanded in the future!

    Hey, bro! Just wanted to check out your channel. Nice trumpet sound! I can appreciate it as a bass player. It sounds realistic, because there's a slight bend in the pitch as you move through the intervals, which is what we would expect with a real trumpet player adjusting his embouchure to create the intended notes. Nice job demonstrating. Keep up the great work!

    As usual - great review - very cool indeed on this kind of trumpet library. Great sounds. Pure sounds indeed. Very realistic and well put together. Pretty darn responsive as well playing runs just straight in. Cool. Nice interface too - quite simple and straight forward. Awesome library for this kind of instrument. Super.

    Thanks for showing the sasaki trumpet. If i'm not mistaken the attact sample is always the same and you can't get rid of it if you want to play more fluently. Too bad because the legato sound is really amazing.

    Fantastic! BUT… why would you provide an instrument in two versions (natural/tuned) and exclude one patch (playable runs)?
    Thank you Chris for featuring Musical Sampling so frequently and putting these amazing libraries on my radar! :D

    Im a serious music programer. I give 5+ stars because they sell what they said: a Legato Trumpet Sound. Excellent sound but if you are looking for a trumpet for a whole music production, this is not the right choice. You need articulations and all the things the trumpet does. About the sound, the best around i can say except for other companies that im not gonna mention in this review. Musical Sampling made an excellent work. For recording jazz solos or legato lines is just perfect. This is just my opinion. I hope they keep improving it and we can get an upgrade in the future. Thanks.

    It's rather bright isn't it? Almost brittle sounding. Sounds lovely in a mix w a bit of eq to tone that down. And the free version is a great price.....

    How does this compare to Birth of the Trumpet?

    • @ChristopherSiu
      @ChristopherSiu 3 роки тому

      Good question! I’d say they’re pretty similar, but you’ll get more instant playability from this instrument, while BotT requires a little more finessing, but may yield a slightly more realistic result in the end.

    This is not as good as Birth of the trumpet. But it cost about the same. If this was selling for half the price it might be a good companion. As it stands, it doesn’t sound quite as good. Doesn’t have the articulations…. Nice review and video though.. if it ever goes on sale for 50% off… I would give it a spin.

    IT SOUND NICE , BUT NOTHING MORE....
    I preffer using "Birth of the trumpet" by Straight ahead (with the smart delay !!!) , It's like night and day!

    Sounds great but too much vibrato. I often listen to great trumpet soloists and they always add soft, slow and gentle vibrato or non vibrato at all. Less vibrato makes trumpet sounds so much more emotional and beautiful.
    And vibrato is always a big problem with other solo library too: Violin, Cello, Flute... They are either too much virato, or not enough, or too powerful, or too robotic... I think one of the keys to solo VSTi realism is controllable vibrato, or multiple type of vibratos (include non vibrato). If not, people could always tell it's fake.
