The fact that the Tech guy can go up to Markley at the end and say "Awesome" is a disgrace to demolition derby. That was a sad heat to watch with an even sadder ending.
It's not unreasonable for fans to expect hitting at a demolition derby is it? Yeah we all know they're not gonna nose to nose all night like the good derbies (Pine City MN if you're looking to watch fantastic derbies) but they could at least take aggressive shots at tires like smart drivers do.
I don’t understand why everyone complains about sandbagging. It’s the promoters job to keep the cars hitting. If the promoters allow me to tap another car I’m going to do it especially if I spent $20k building the car. I’ll be honest if I have a fresh car I’m sandbagging if I have a car I’m trying to finish off I’m sending it

@@Dustin-sp8ui Send me to some of the better NY or Ohio videos if you know the names off hand as I love good hard hitting derbies! Friday Night Pine City 2024 Street Stock is a great one from this year.
You don’t put 3 of the best builders/drivers in the country in the ring and expect total carnage it just doesn’t work that way. They could be fresh out of the daycare drop off line and that’s still not the result you would get
I love the title! Intense action! Sure, let’s spend 30,000 on a car just to watch them try to knock the wheels off each others car! This class sucks! I’ll stay old school! Wedging the car should not be allowed at all
Demolition derby has become the dumbest thing I've ever seen what happened to the excitement of fenders and doors and bumpers being smashed up it looks like the only thing to go out is the tires and motor come on guys where's the demolition here
yea, overbuilt, I respect the creativity, but I like watching the stocker stuff get all smashed up. These are pre-smashed for competition, so it's kinda like, eh.
@@ivtec4fun55what did ya say I fell asleep during the derby of 5 cars built like tanks driving slower than tanks…. 🧐😉cool content I appreciate the work and the dedication but this is something different than demolition derby…. Keep away . It is what it is. I’ve seen some really good derby’s here UA-cam the past month or so from all over. Just saw one with a huge old school wagon that was cruisin and bent up like a potatoe Chip and didn’t even win and it was awesome… his wife did a bit of this kind of driving and playing keep away and oh my cars not starting but it was dope from the rest of the field.
It’s not the drivers. It’s the promoters. If I’m in a car that I built for $25k you betcha I am going to drive like this. Plus the hard hits from a pro stock car are so much more violent than being in a lower built car. If you hit me in a hard car the car doesn’t absorb the hit as much if the car is softer it will absorb the hit
Markley is one of the smartest drivers you’ll see. He pretty much only does wheel shots. Most people waste their car on hitting people in the cage

Cool story.
These comments crack me up. It is 3 of the top guys. They are DRIVING. Great heat, Markley came to play chess, and he did it well.

And now you know why they all run 20+ gallon fuel cells.
We got powder puff better than that
The building and driving skills here are top notch, but classes like these are boring to watch...There are maybe 200? people watching this heat.

@@justinbackes2858 I would have to say the Utah New York and Ohio drivers are the hardest hitting drivers in the country

They should make it where u can't do nothing to the car but safety roll cage that's it run what you brung
To me when u have to build a car that hard are u real good because of that to me if ur good u shouldn't to build a hard car to go show how good u are

They weren't even taking strategic shots they were bagging.

Scared to hit someone 😅
watching paint dry
Markley
Put them in a figure 8 for god sakes
Hiltibran can wheel a car!
I was excited to see it based on the title and previous episodes. Yawn... 5 minutes in was enough for me. Not a particularly exciting derby.
Boring WOW!
What's the deal with the white or orange tape on the posts?
Awesome show
These mod classes just get worse and worse as the years go on. Guys are afraid to hit
