Personally, i would never trade safety for comfort. I always ride with full gear on no matter what. In your case, you have indeed a very important reason to stay safe out there. If you crash for whatever reason and aren't fully protected, you would be in for a very bad day which could have major ramifications. You don't want that. But i do understand the heat issue and the danger of passing out when it's extremely hot. So here is what i do when it's too hot to wear a jacket : i use my body armor with a motocross jersey. As for the rest of my gears, not an issue whether it's cool, warm or hot. I also ride a VX300 so i always use my motocross boots, safety gloves, safety pants and my full face helmet. Using a body armor can become "sticky" when you sweat, but it does keep you cool and protected. And depending on the type of body armor, you could even forget about the motocross jersey which is really just for looks. Stay safe and happy riding !!
Thanks for your channel. Here in ct i am lucky to have only a few tough hot months. As long as im moving not bad but SW conn has bad commuting traffic. I love my x300 with my 14t sprocket. So far no ticket with all the emergency lane travel i do to cut back on my long commute. No issues with my 2020. Funny thing is I have never seen another x300 in 4 yrs of driving.
I have the 650 and LOVE it. I’m looking to get the x300 for something a little more manageable for short distances, trips and errands, light off road runs. I’m just concerned about the high revs that I keep hearing about.
@awabac it is a great commuter bike. It does have high revs but it's a ninja motor so it can take it no problem. The thing i like about it is how nimble it is. O and thanks for watching

@govinda102000 thanks for watching. That's funny I never see them around either
I love commuting on my Versys 300. I try to wear gear but when it's super hot...nothing like going for a spin in a T shirt and sunglasses.
I feel the same way
