Thanks for posting this, Maher. It is helpful. My use case is to have access to wg on a mikrotik from the outside and then traffic to go out to the Internet, so you example is spot on. Thanks.
the example is working, i've tested on a VPS server with a chr. the only step missing is the NAT MASQUERADE on the interface on the server with the public ip, without that if i make the tunnel i'm not able to navigate on the internet. yes i can reach the other side but i need the nat masquerade on the server to navigate with the ip of the vpn server.
Great this worked for me. Now I can switch the clients from pptp to the more secure Wireguard. Many thanks

This is so simple, I was trying to configure OpenVPN server on Mikrotik - it is a mess with the certificates and the performance is way lower.
Hi I've got question about wireguard with DDNS build in option. When I've done config with DDNS and IPSEC connection between Mikrotik with DDNS and 3rd party router with static PUB IP everything is OK. When I'm trying to do the same thing but with wireguard it's not working and even hitting the firewall. Configuration is OK because when I use PUB IP with the same configuration is OK , so what's difference with DDNS IPSEC and DDNS Wireguard ?

thank you for this tutorial. i have a problem though. with the exact same settings as yours i can't seem to ping to the gateway (192.22.0.1). therefor i can't ping to the DNS and can't ping to internet. if i do ipconfig my gateway is empty. kindly help me for this matter.

I have tried multiple windows clients and unable to get working as only one client works at a time. Can't imagine that it should not work so probably doing something wrong but seems I am not the only one unable to get working

Does Wireguard use any hardware encryption of some Mikrotik router models or it is done entirely through software and there is no purpose of baying IPsec hardware enabled mTik routers? How much is CPU load when you have some 10 VPN connections through Wireguard? Is it possible to give some approx. numbers so we can see what is the reason to move to Wireguard after investing some money into our equipment and we have already VPN connections (which btw, are killing our mTik CPUs)?

HI! First of all, congratulations for the video. I have doubt about Public IP. I use mikrotik router in my home and my connection uses a Dynamic IP. How can i use this setup in my case?
If that IP is public then probably yes.
Use the Mikrotik DDNS name under IP-->Cloud for your endpoint
Or use any other free ddns service. Run from docker the free and almost zero resource hungry container called: ddclient. Don't need ugly mikrotik cloud ddns name :)

yep possible. I can access my home router from anywhere using wireguard, same my NAS too.
I just saw your video, hoping you can give me some incites regarding my issue. I am a bit confused when you said "Public address that is on mikrotik router", Can you point to the right settings on the mikrotik where to find this? I thought ican just use my WAN ip address as an endpoint. I have my RPI4 as a wireguard server running and it is using the same as my wan ip, so i thought its just the same, i just want to utilize my mikrotik router as vpn server, unfortunately i can not make it to connect. i was config my router according to this video ,wiregurad interface and pool range for client same to my network ,connection is ok and wiregurd connected sucssessfully but i cant ping any client on my network.

easy way to disable all firewall rules and check if it works. Then re-enable one by one to know which rule is affecting.

You are probably using v6 still
V7 hasnt been relased as steady/longterm yet
