    The new Aqua Forest reactor looks much better than the old version I have, which was very difficult to open with about 15 plastic screws in the top that weren't tapped into the lid properly. Glad to see they've fixed that issue.
    The NYOS separator in the two larger reactors breaks far too easily. I bought two and broke them the first time I used them. That was even after knowing the issue.
    I love the AquaMedic reactors. They're so easy to lift in and out and also see any issues.
    The Two Little Fishies reactors are pretty good too.
    I was considering a Royal Exclusive reactor but couldn't justify the price.

      yes the new AF reactors are a nice improvement, that being said I wish they used smaller hose connectors... I agree with your thoughts on the others too, royal exclusive is great but overpriced in my opinion

    Very useful
    I have a NYOS TORQ which works well but the little AC Motor is very noisy! They could save money on the various ways to choke flow on the body and pump and just fit a variable DC pump! I would happily pay a bit more for that.

    Hi mate. Whats your views on the aquamedic reactor?

  • @CasualReefer
    @CasualReefer Рік тому +1

    I got a aquamedic, the one in your video. There is an issue with this unit, I am using gfo and if I turn the flow low to make the media just 'dance', the pump run very noisy, contacted aquaristic online, they replace the pump but still. The pump is fine, just because running low flow it make the rattle sound, are there any tips to fix this? Thanks

    Nice video Parker, I had an Aqua Medic S planned but they're pretty expensive so I've been holding out and just doing everything manually. I had the thought last night to eBay some acrylic tube and try to make my own. But I probably won't do that because seeing that Aqua Medic logo would be therapeutic lol.

    Hey mate. I have a Waterbox 20, and I want to run the fauna Marin phos 0.04. I’m debating between a two little fishies reactor 50, or the aqua medic one. Does the aqua medic one have much noise since the water cascades down the sides?
    Unsure what to go with. Aquamedic looks good since I can fit it in the AIO sump, but the TLF 50 looks better for volume and possibly quieter?

    • @yanni8027

      Any recommendations for this tank specifically?

    • @ParkersReef
      @ParkersReef  Рік тому

      yeah both would work, their is no noise from the water cascading as it tends to stick to the plastic body really well. Both options would have the pump as the loudest part.

    • @yanni8027
      @yanni8027 Рік тому +1

      @@ParkersReef would this be a decent option to use with the fauna Marin phos 0.04? I only have a Waterbox 20, but I feed pretty heavily and nitrates seem to rise slower than phos, so this could offer me some stability without performing huge WCs often

    • @ParkersReef

      I have to say, it's pretty terrible as an in-sump reactor.
      For HOB where it's mostly submerged it may be very good, but it just blurts water up everywhere and is extremely noisy.
      I'd rate it a 3/10
