I'm a proud retired army captain, entrepreneur, and independent voter. I am also a survivor of post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and depression, the by-product of a traumatic brain injury and facial fractures. What Project 25 will do, if implemented, is destroy the lives of many veterans. Unfortunately, many veterans who play identity politics and are being misled don't know that. I'm a NY'er, but I spent a couple years (2011-2013) working in Los Angeles (audio engineer) & became a fan of Kamala's work in CA. She's always been ballsy & is the perfect foil to Trump's nonsense. I had her to go all the way in 2020, & was bummed when she burnt out early, only to be pleasantly surprised when Joe brought her on the ticket. He saw the same thing I'd seen. It's refreshing to see Kamala Harris bring a positive and energetic perspective to the political arena, especially in contrast to the more negative tones often associated with Trump and the struggles Joe Biden faces in his speeches. Everyone did. Biden and his closest staffers never let it leak that she stayed out of the media for this exact reason and was being made ready to be president for the last 4 years. Biden looks like a genius. If she ran in the primary, it would have given republicans almost a full year to soil her while she debated with other democrats like newsome. Biden resigning and handing the existing campaign and the delegates to her after the primary was brilliant.
No one even remembers trump was shot or even cares. Trump is being ignored more and more. Republicans can't soil her with their usual conspiracy scripts when she has this massive level of voter support and is the nominee. They cannot try to spur democratic infighting to help because every democrat and some republicans coalesced around her as soon as she gave that first speech.
By the time the debate comes up, trump will be forced to show up just to get someone to pay attention to him. It won't work, but he will show up out of desperation. States like georgia are in play again and that was not something democrats thought they would have this time around.
