Mitsubishi Colt 1.1i - Exhaust Center Pipe Swap (HD)

The exhaust center pipe rusted off behind the catalyseur while 150 km away from home. Fixed it the wrong way, so the second lambda was damaged. Anyway, the MIL lamp didn't showed any error. So the center exh. part needed to be changed and that's what's this video is all about. The main problem was to make it seal again...

- flat screw driver
- 24 mm wrench
- big pliers with extender
- normal pliers
- wire brush
- angle grinder with 1 mm wide disc
- gloves

- new exhaust center pipe
- biggger 52 mm clamps - 3 pcs
- steel passivating liquid
- base anti rust coat spray
- black cover spray
- wd40 or something similar
- glas fiber rope
- a piece of metal sheet
- zip tie

Dělal jsem podobnou věc tento týden na 1.3. Měl jsem děravý koncák, tak že vyměním jen ten. Při sundávání odpadl kus středového tlumiče, který byl zasunutá v koncáku. Takže jsem koupil i střed. Ten jsem pak od katu raději uřezal, zbylý kus trubky na katu jsem říznul podélně, rozevřel plochým šroubovákem a šlo to dolů. Konec katu jsem lehce obrousil, odmastil, napatlal těsnící pastou na výfuk, střed odmastil, napatlal a namontovaný střed pak stáhnul sponou. Koncák to samé... Pasty jsem dal raději víc, ale byl jsem mile překvapen jak dobře to fungovalo.

No ja som to s tou pastou raz skusal, ale mi ju nejak vyfuklo von na jednom mieste, tak som to uz ani neskusal v tomto pripade. Jo ale diky za info, uzitocne Ondřej.

Das Video war interessant, und hat mir geholfen mich vorzubereiten.
Ich empfehle wenn man keine Hebebühne hat , den Mitteltopf komplett mit Lambdasonde auszubauen. Dann kann die Lambdasonde besser ausgebaut werden.
Und ja , Kupfer Paste ist sehr wichtig ! Auch die Mutter (Gewinde) damit schmieren.
Sowie ein Auspuffkitt dann wird kein weiteres Zubehör benötigt .So wie bei deinem Video.

It lasted a year or two, still having problems with it, because the catalytic converter pipe did rusted away :D good luck with your pipe!

I used an empty beer can and some exhaust seal paste. Works fine .

Přesně takhle hezky mi to upadlo :-D Naštěstí na parkovišti u obchoďáku, takže to vázací drát, hliníková páska a trocha kreativity na dojezd pojistily.
